I have a first class MA in International Politics from King's College London, a BA in History and Politics from Oxford University, A* in history, politics and economics at A-Level, and 10 A* at GCSE. I’m Sebastian Sanz, a university student studying finance. Alongside my tutoring work, I am a professional playwright and theatre critic. I have studied theatre at the University of York, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and I am a member of the Soho Theatre Writers Group. My plays have been staged at the Edinburgh Fringe, York Theatre Royal and across Fringe venues in London. With my A/AS-Level Drama support classes, we will examine and explore the history behind a number of the key texts on the specifications for OCR, Pearson and EDUQAS: Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Dario Fo Saved by Edward Bond In classes, we will look at the context in which these plays were written, the cultural impact they had and how to use this in essays to demonstrate your broader knowledge of the set texts. Aside from the plays themselves, it is important to understand the wider world of theatre. We will look at the plays of Samuel Beckett, Jean Genet and Theatre of the Absurd for Dario Fo. The history of Theatre censorship and the Royal Court Theatre is crucial to understanding Edward Bond's Saved. This class will give you the opportunity to explore these complex texts with a practising playwright, and the expanded knowledge of these plays will give you that edge when it comes to the exam.

Learning a new language is both rewarding and extremely useful. German is spoken by tens of millions of people worldwide and can prove to be a valuable tool for the job market. Additionally, a plethora of immensely important works of philosophy, literature, psychology and many more fields were - and are - published in German, enabling a speaker to broaden their field of knowledge. This class is perfect for those who are wishing to learn a new language, improve upon existing knowledge of German or those wishing to explore German literature and history more closely.

GCSE and A-level history and geography can see a little daunting, with the wide spectrum of topics and knowledge required to achieve a good grade. Having achieved top grades and studying histry and geography at university, I can support students to learn not only the content, but the specific techniques and methods for achieving their full potential.

I am a highly passionate and committed history student at UCL fuelled with a desire to share my educational expertise with GCSE and A-Level History and/or French students. As a previous high-achieving and enthusiastic GCSE and A-Level student that achieved nine 9’s at GCSE and two A* and one A at A-Level, I believe that the knowledge and advice I have acquired would be extremely beneficial and I am thus eager to support students in fulfilling their academic aspirations. I am an overall tutor I can teach any subject for primary and secondary school teens my teaching techniques are different than most I tend to get along well with young people.
