I graduated from the Conservatoire de Nice CNRR (France) in jazz guitar. I studied there for seven years with renowned professors such as Jean Paul Ceccarelli (Sting), Pierre Bertrand, Robert Persi or Philippe Petit. My teaching method is flexible and I adapt it to the needs and desires of the student. We will discuss the technical work on the instrument, the knowledge of the neck and chords and the rhythm. Giovanna raised and formed in Florence, where she began her guitar studies at the age of five at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. In September, she graduated cum laude and she's currently enrolled in the Master’s program at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, studying with Antigoni Goni. Winner of many international competitions, she performed plenty of times in Italy and in 2023 she has held a solo concert in Milan for the XXXVIII Società Umanitaria's concerts season. Next to renowned guitarists, such as Luigi Attademo and Giorgio Albiani, she performed the world premiere of Álvaro Company’s Concert Català for ten guitars, in the revision by Vincenzo Saldarelli. Alongside her performing activity, Giovanna has developed a strong dedication to teaching adults, children, and teenagers. She tailors each learning path to the individual student, carefully balancing personal interests with technical and artistic development, whether for amateur musicians or students preparing for conservatory admission. Her teaching approach places particular emphasis on physical awareness and well-being, guiding students toward healthy and efficient use of the body while playing. Music theory is fully integrated into her lessons and is always connected to practical application on the instrument.

Posture and comfort with the instrument are the foundation for playing the guitar. I often make the connection with other musical instruments such as percussion, wind instruments and singing. Separating and understanding the roles of the two hands is another important step in the course. One hand plays the rhythm and the other plays the notes on the fretboard. Trained at the Music Academy International (France) in both disciplines, I offer private guitar lessons focused on current music (rock, blues, funk, soul, jazz, etc.) and adapted to the demands of each student. My classes are open to everyone, children and adults, beginners or advanced. I attach great importance to understanding the technical tools used. A typical hour of lessons is therefore divided between pure technical work accompanied by clear explanations and practice on pieces to play or sing.
