Eyal has taught hundreds of students over the past 15 years, both guitar and piano next to music theory and composition. Besides his formal music education (a bachelor's in composition, a teaching degree from the music academy in Jerusalem, and a master's in composition from Codarts, Rotterdam), Eyal has acquired experience in a wide range of various musical styles, including rock, blues, jazz, classical music, electronic music and contemporary music, on which he bases his rich approach, which can be adjusted to every student separately. Solos, chords, improvisations, heavy distortion or acoustic guitar, playing in a party or jumping on stages, reading notes or playing by ear. Maybe you know exactly what you want, and maybe you are not sure. In Eyal's view, the job of the teacher is helping you finding that out, and guiding you through your personal process. Johann Sebastian Bach or John Lennon? Sergei Rachmaninoff or Freddie Mercury? Regina Spektor? Nina Simone? Maybe Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? Complex harmonies or simple melodies? Classical pieces or modern tunes? The only right answer is what you find interesting.

Currently, I am studying Composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. I have been playing guitar for more than 15 years and I have participated in music bands and live shows. I am also working on electronic music through my laptop and hardware devices (synths, drum machines, etc) I would be happy to teach you how to play the guitar, music theory tips, and some basic production skills! In the beginning, we will work on your favorite songs. At some point, you will be able to make your songs and you will have the opportunity to record your ideas and share them with the public! For the super young ones: We will start with easy tunes and then, we will work on your favorite songs! - It is never too early or too late to learn an instrument! - Music theory is a very important tool to go further in playing, don't be scared of it. I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the conservatory of Leeds, UK. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. So far in my teaching career I have had experience with many different ages, from 7 to 40 years old and I think I have managed to pass on to them some of my passion for music. Whether you want to learn to play your favourite tunes, learn to improvise or get some in depth knowledge about music theory and harmony we can work out a suited lesson plan for you. Happy to teach any level and any style from rock to jazz and electric or acoustic guitar. As every person learns differently, my approach always depends on the student and what you want to get from the music and the guitar. This isn't a guitar lesson; this is a dynamite. Have you ever tried to play music reading a music sheet and at the same time wondered why this little dots that are occasionally accompanied by lines (I mean the notes) go together the way they go? Most probably not. But that's the point of doing philosophy alongside music. In this course we are going to learn music by questioning musical appearances. There are two goals: The surface goal is to learn how to play guitar. The music style will be up to you. Do you want punk, indie, black metal, classical or perhaps avant-garde-post-math-queercore? Chose your poison. The deepest goal is to never take two notes for granted. Each small melody, each phrase has to tell a story that hasn't been heard yet. The point is to discover it. As for qualifications, I have been studying guitar and philosophy half my life. I am currently a PhD candidate in Philosophy at UvA. I studied guitar in my hometown in Athens where I acquired soloist diploma in Classical Guitar from the Neo-classical Conservatoire of Athens.
