I have been drawing as far back as I can remember, and started drawing digitally in my teen age years, starting with a small Wacom Bamboo tablet, an old computer and an out of date version of photoshop - sketching cyberpunk characters and fantasy monsters. Since then, I have experimented with various tablets, software and subject matter, and I want to transmit what I learned and help people get into this amazing practice. I will teach you the fundamental skills in drawing, both conceptually (knowledge of different art supplies, and colour theory) and from observation (studying from life, and copying masterworks). Furthermore, we will study the anatomical composition of a human body, which includes proportion, shading, expression, and other principles. My courses are useful for beginners, and for anyone interested in realistic, academic drawing techniques. I am a dual national of Finland/USA. I hold a BA in Western Art History, and a MA in Literature from Leiden University. I hold a minor in Acrylic Painting at The Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (Netherlands).
