Biotechnology is a broad field of science that uses biological systems, organisms, or derivatives to develop or create new products and technologies. It has applications in various industries, including healthcare, agriculture, environmental protection, and industrial manufacturing.

I have graduated in Biomedical Science (BSc Hons) at the University of Birmingham and have a Master’s of Research in Public Health from the University of Manchester. I have advanced expertise in oncology, cell biology and epidemiology and thus can provide tutoring from a position of someone who has pursued a career in science. I spent 5 years working in clinical research, including a role in Melanoma clinical trials as a Research Portfolio Manager at The Christie Hospital. I have now left clinical research as I have returned to education to study Medicine (Graduate Entry) and can thus provide medical interview coaching. Additionally, I have previous experience working in secondary schools across the UK. I am available for Science tutoring at GCSE and Biology at A-level. Most of my experience is with the AQA syllabus but I am also open to tutoring with OCR. Primarily, I deliver online tutoring, but am willing to consider 1-1 in person tutoring for those who are located close to Liverpool city centre or the University of Liverpool. I will aim to provide customised supportive learning and will ensure that I take time to establish the specific learning needs of each student. Before University I took A level Biology and Chemistry. I then trained as a Pharmacist - this course involved degree level Biology and Chemistry. Following this, I completed a masters in biological research and a biology based PhD. Alongside my studies, I have tutored GCSE aged students, and teach undergraduate science as part of my current role.
