I'm Ino and I am a native Greek speaker. My academic background is rooted in a deep love for Greek language and culture. I hold a research master's degree in Classics and Ancient Civilizations from Leiden University, which has given me a profound understanding of the historical and cultural context of the Greek language. In addition, I have a bachelor's degree in Classical Literature, Linguistics, and Modern Greek from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, which makes me proficient in the syntactical and grammatical phenomena of both modern and ancient Greek. My teaching experience is diverse and extensive. I have had the privilege of teaching Greek as a second language to adults, helping them grasp the intricacies of this beautiful language. Furthermore, I've also shared my knowledge of ancient Greek with students, unlocking the mysteries of this ancient tongue. I focus on helping students go beyond memorizing dates by explaining the causes, consequences, people, conflicts, and ideas behind historical events. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s goals. We can work on exam preparation, essay planning, source analysis, historical arguments, or general understanding of a topic. My strongest areas are medieval history, classical history, Hellenic mythology, the Cold War, and Black American history. I am a philologist, poet, and singer with a deep love for France and its culture. I want to offer my students the opportunity to discover Greece through its music and literature, from a timeless perspective.
