As long as Corona is there, it is also possible via Teams, Zoom or Skype, but in principle the lessons in my building are within walking distance of the Central Station or somewhere in sollentuna, kista and tensta. A combined course in algebra: Systems of equations: inequalities, graphs and functions; radicals, quadratic polynomials, rational expressions; exponential and logarithmic functions, and problem solving, with emphasis on knowledge skills appropriate for students pursuing.

I offer one-to-one Maths tuition for GCSE, A-Level, and university students, both online and in person around Birmingham. Whether your child is struggling with the basics, preparing for upcoming exams, or aiming for top grades, I tailor every lesson to where they actually are — not where a textbook assumes they should be. What I cover: GCSE Maths (all exam boards — AQA, Edexcel, OCR) A-Level Maths and Further Maths University-level Maths for engineering and science students Specific topics: algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, mechanics, logic How I teach: I break difficult concepts down into simple steps, use plenty of worked examples, and give students clear practice between sessions. I'm patient with mistakes, encouraging when things feel hard, and honest about what needs work. Lessons are structured but relaxed students should feel comfortable asking "silly" questions, because those are usually the most important ones. Exam season is right now, so if your child has GCSEs or A-Levels coming up, the next few weeks are the most important time to get focused support. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💻 Videoconference courses, from the orientation cycle to the final year of high school. There's a phrase I hear in almost every first session: "In class I understand, but when I'm faced with the worksheet I don't know where to start." It's not a question of academic level. It's that no one has ever taught students to recognize the type of problem they're facing. One function exercise looks like another, but the method isn't the same—and until this sorting happens automatically, each exercise starts from scratch. This sorting is what I work on first, even before reviewing the lesson. 🎓 I hold a Master's degree in Operations Research (applied mathematics) and have been tutoring mathematics for 5 years. I have worked with numerous students in the Swiss system, as well as in French, Belgian, and international programs. 📚 What I cover, canton by canton The vocabulary varies from one canton to another, so let's be precise: ✏Geneva and Fribourg — orientation cycle (grades 9 to 11 HarmoS), preparation for entry into secondary school, then the four years of secondary school up to graduation ✏Vaud — pre-gymnasium and general tracks, preparation for the ECR exams, transition to gymnasium, then the three years of gymnasium ✏Neuchâtel — cycle 3, then high school ✏Valais — orientation cycle, then college Preparation for the Matura exam, all specific options 🔍 How I work 1️⃣ The first sessions are mainly aimed at assessing the level of the student in order to identify the shortcomings observed. 2️⃣ Then we make a plan to fill those gaps: number of hours of work needed, parts of the lessons to focus on, lots of training and development exercises, etc. 3️⃣ We make sure to stay in regular contact with the student's class teacher to monitor their progress and align our work with what is being taught in class. 4️⃣ Then I provide exams similar to what may be offered in class. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a monthly report to keep parents informed of their child's level throughout the course. ✨ Why this profession My favorite moment is when a student starts explaining their approach aloud without me having asked anything. I guide the student so that they gradually learn to: Understand → Analyze → Choose a method → Solve → Verify This approach allows the student to better manage exercises when working alone.
