For 4 years I worked abroad (St. Maarten and St. Eustatius) as a Remedial Teacher and Mathematics teacher. Because of this I have a lot of experience with students from a non-Dutch background. Because often not all words are understood, it becomes very difficult for these students to do sums. A shame, because with the right explanation they will certainly get there!
