About Me

Hey, I am Flemish in Liège and study singing here at the Royal Conservatory. I obtained my bachelor's degree as a singer in Maastricht after I also studied language and literature at university level for several years. Dutch is my native language, but I also speak German, English and French. I will understand most of Spanish, Portuguese or Italian, but I do not speak those languages (for the time being).

I completed 2 bachelor years of the study language and literature (Dutch-German) at the KULeuven. After that I started my studies as a singer at the conservatories of Maastrich (NL), Essen (DE) and Liège (BE). Even as a classical singer you have to constantly maintain and improve your language skills (Italian, German, French)

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

I provide lessons for the Nt2 Staatsexamen and Dutch Nationalisation exam (Inburgering examen)and Business Dutch for ex-pats and people who want to learn everyday Dutch. In the citizenship exam course, students learn about history, geography and basic vocabulary which are the contents of the exam. They learn how to respond to basic questions. Besides preparatory lessons for (Inburgering examen ,citizenship exam ,I teach Business Dutch( Zakelijk Nederlands) to expats. Online lessons are delivered through Google meet and Ms Teams and other online platforms. The lessons are conducted online as well as at a location in The Hague. Both private and group lessons are available.

I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course.
