About Me
As a child - born in Lucerne, by the way - I dreamed of becoming a teacher. When I was seven, I went back to Portugal with my family because my parents wanted us children to grow up in their home country. There I studied sport psychology and then did my master's degree.
In 2013 I moved back to my “native country”, Switzerland. When I arrived here at the age of 28, I immediately felt at home. German is still a huge challenge, but I love writing, grammar and the typical jumble of words in a foreign language!
In 2014 I started teaching Portuguese in Lucerne. This quickly led to a passion for teaching. It turned out that this was exactly the right path for me, as more and more students contacted me, the more I immersed myself in the matter.
In 2017 I completed the SVEB course (course instructor) at the “Berufsakademie” and I founded my own company “Learn Portuguese”. It reflects the skills I've developed over those years. In order to be able to respond even better to my students, I visit an online "Postgraduate: Portuguese as a Foreign Language" at the Lisbon University. Since 2019 I have also been working as a lecturer at two language schools in Lucerne.
