Struggling with maths or preparing for an exam? I help high school and first-year university students understand maths step by step, instead of memorizing formulas.

Topics include algebra, functions, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and statistics. I adapt each lesson to your level and goals, whether you need to catch up, prepare for an exam or go further.

I have 5 years of private tutoring experience and was an adjunct professor at a university in Barcelona for two and a half years. I'm currently doing a Master's in Computer Science at ETH Zürich.

About Me
Hi, I'm Albert, a Spanish maths tutor living in Zürich, where I'm doing a Master's in Computer Science at ETH.

I've been tutoring for 5 years and I also taught at university in Barcelona, so I've worked with all kinds of students: those who find maths hard and need to rebuild their confidence, and those who want to go further. I'm patient and I explain things step by step, always making sure you understand why something works, not just how to solve the exercise. Every lesson is adapted to your level, your pace and your goals, whether that's passing an exam or simply feeling more comfortable with the subject.

I teach maths in English, as my German is still basic, and Spanish as a native speaker.
Education
MSc in Computer Science, ETH Zürich (2026–2028, in progress)
BSc in Mathematical Engineering in Data Science, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (2019–2023). Award for the best academic record of the degree.
Experience / Qualifications
5 years of private tutoring: maths from high school to first-year university level, and Spanish.
Adjunct professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2024–2026): taught linear algebra, differential equations, numerical methods, programming and cryptography.

Learn Spanish with a native speaker from Barcelona. Lessons are based on real conversations and practical situations, so you start speaking from the first day.

I adapt each lesson to your level and goals: traveling, work, exams or simply improving your fluency. We will practice speaking and listening, and work on grammar and vocabulary whenever you need it.

I have 5 years of tutoring experience, including Spanish, and I was an adjunct professor at a university in Barcelona for two and a half years.

Hey! Are you looking for a young, approachable yet meticulous tutor in Computer Science or Mathematics? Then I believe I might be the tutor for you! I offer lessons in the aforementioned subjects (English only) for high-school and bachelor students at the start of their studies.

A little bit about me:
My name is Bozhidar and I am a MSc Data Science student at ETH Zuerich. Last year, I completed my bachelor's in Computer Science at TU Delft (the #1 technical university in the Netherlands) with distinction. I was a teaching assistant for 10 courses during my stay at the university. Additionally, I have given private lessons to a few high school and bachelor's students, so I believe I have accumulated enough experience with guiding and tutoring students across different disciplines. I have found out that I enjoy teaching a lot, so that is why I am here - to help you and myself!

My expertise:
During my high school years, I won tens of awards and scholarships for achievements in Mathematics and Computer Science. I also won my high school's recognition award which is given to one student every year for distinctive results. I've helped high-school and university peers with exam preparation, taught whole courses privately, prepared sample exams, and reviewed and graded real ones. Regarding the university courses I have experience in, I have taught:
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Reasoning & Logic
- Computer Organisation
- Algorithms and Data Structures
- Web and Database Technologies
- Calculus
- Information & Data Management
- Automata, Computability and Complexity
- Concepts of Programming Languages
- Computational Intelligence

Here are some of the reviews I have received as a teaching assistant:
Overall: 4.97/5 (70 reviews)
5/5 - "Great job! Did far more than just explaining this example and went far deeper into the material, helping me to understand it."
5/5 - "Favourite TA. Always there for the difficult questions. Never leaves anything unanswered no matter how long it takes."
5/5 - "Delightful person with an insightful way of thought! Brilliant TA!"
5/5 - "Clear explanations and expert in the material"

So, what are you waiting for? Write me a message and let's get the knowledge train running.

IN :
I teach all levels, from secondary school through university, mainly in maths and physics. I'm currently doing a master's in the Mathematics Department at ETH Zürich, after a bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft (Netherlands).

Lessons taught in English or French only.

I prepare students for international curricula: IB (Maths AA/AI, both HL and SL), IGCSE and A-Levels, as taught at Zurich's international schools (ZIS, ICS, SIS, Lycée Français, and others), as well as the French baccalaureate (maths and physics-chemistry specialisms). At university level, I help with engineering maths (Calculus 1 & 2, differential equations, linear algebra) along with statics and dynamics, subjects I covered extensively during my degree, including for ETH and UZH students following courses taught in English.

Depending on what's needed, I can introduce new concepts, consolidate material already covered in class, or prepare for exams through mock tests and past papers under real conditions. I adapt to each student's learning style to make sessions as effective as possible.
