Hi!
I’m currently studying for my Master’s degree at ZHdK. My focus is piano, clarinet and composition.

I believe music is not only technique, but imagination, listening and personal expression. In our lessons we will work on solid fundamentals while also developing your musical voice.

I teach beginners as well as advanced students. Lessons are possible at Toni-Areal or at your place.

Piano is an interesting instrument, which you can create lots of different sounds and imaginations through your fingers.Music might be difficult for beginners ,but if you are really enthusiastic about music. Please give me a chance to lead you travel in those story composers want to tell you.

Before we start, I would like to know your personality, your habits, your favorite composers or even the reason you want to learn piano...That can help me to understand you more, also choose pieces that fit your personality.If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to write me!!

I usually let my students do “Stufen test “ , “ABRSM”, if you want some challenge for yourself, very welcome to my class!

My piano lessons are focused on the aim and purpose you have with piano studying. For example, if you are an adult who wants to do it as a hobby, the approach would be relaxed, based on learning the pieces you like the most (with some suggestions by me) and on improving the technique you need for it. If you are a child, the approach will be fun, motivating an interest in music. If you're someone looking forward to an application to some public or professional music school, I will help you build the program in a very professional way. Hello! My name is Orestis, I come from Cyprus and I am 27 years old. I am passionate about teaching, and one of the greatest joys of my professional career is watching my students flourish. I have been playing the piano for 20 years now and have over 7 years in teaching the piano. My goal is to make the piano lessons fun and enjoyable while also incorporating all the necessary elements, such as theory, music history and sight-reading, to create a well rounded musical education. I am experienced with exam preparations (ABRSM) and music school admissions exams, but I prefer to create my own curriculum to fit each student’s specific needs and aspirations.
I studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK (BA) and at the Liszt Academy of Music, HU (MA). I have performed extensively as a solo and chamber musician and I had the joy to collaborate with various orchestras. Hello all, I am Rotem (24), I am a guitarist and a composer, and currently pursuing my master's in music composition and theory in ZHdK. I graduated with honors studying jazz performance with classical composition as a side subject from New England Conservatory (Boston).

I have been performing, touring and teaching around the world: New York, Washington DC, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, and more!

I have grown up with educaiton both in jazz and classical practices, and therefore am very versatile and fluent with both worlds which i believe creates a unique and interesting perspective for approaching music.

In our lessons, we could focus on anything you'd like to: guitar, music theory, composition, ear training, electronic music, improvisation (jazz and free improvisation), rhythm, and many more.
