I'm Maria from Mallorca and I could help you with Spanish.

I come from Mallorca and am now in my last semester of my bachelor's degree in international relations. I have been living in Zurich since September 2021 and I will stay here until June.

I speak Catalan and Spanish as my native language, and also English, German, Italian and a bit of French.

During Corona times it might be better to do everything online.

If you are interested, you can contact me.

Best regards,
Maria

I am a big passionate about languages! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting. I have lived in several countries since a very young age, which has allowed me to currently speak fluent English, Catalan and Italian - and of course Spanish, my mother tongue. I love learning new languages for fun and highly enjoy transferring my language knowledge to other people in the most dynamic way.
I will work on a plan according to your needs, whether you are an adult willing to improve Spanish at a business level or whether you are a little one and need support at school. I go for a dynamic and mainly conversational teaching method, based on practice and casual examples.

This is what has worked best for me and my students until now! However, I am flexible and will find the teaching way that best works for you.

First Spanish lesson: Yes, as weird as it may seem, we have opening question and exclamation marks "¿¡!". See? First lesson done, the rest is as just as easy and fun!
I have been tutoring in languages for 8 years, and have covered several ranges. I have a BA in Linguistics and my research career focuses on language acquisition, so I know how your brain works when it is introduced to a new language! More than experience, I believe learning new languages is essential and beautiful, and will give you a unique experience to understand Spanish-speaking cultures. I know how challenging it can be, so I structure my classes in ways that will help maintain your motivation. In my experience, the best outcomes come from (as we say in Spanish) "tirarte a la piscina", which literally means "throwing yourself into the pool". By this I mean I expect you to say anything and everything you can say in Spanish, even if you need to invent 50% or more of what you say. Hearing and trying to speak all the time is what will make you improve fastest. I always try to adapt my classes to your needs and your personality, so feel free to give any constructive feedback!
¡Espero conoceros pronto!

**My goal is for you not only to learn Spanish, but to be able to use it more and more independently and with greater confidence.**
