Would you like to master the Dutch language? Look me up!

From 38 C$ /h

I am a teacher who would like to lead and guide you to better understand the Dutch language.

Here I give spelling and that means that I deal with present tense and past tense.
With homework that you in your familiar environment and in your time and then send back by email.

This lesson is for children from 4 to 12 years old and people who come to live here from abroad, who do not fully master the Dutch language and have problems with pronunciation.
The point is that you learn to read, write and understand it and learning to articulate it is of great importance.
If you know Dutch spelling (present tense and past tense) you have everything under control.
Everything is easier if you master and can speak the Dutch language.

Dutch is my mother tongue, I am Dutch and I suggest you improve your level of Dutch by focusing on conversation - pronunciation - learning to express yourself well - convincing shyness to speak. Of course also academic support - explanation of grammar - reading and understanding texts - writing and editing. Preparing for job interviews, raising the level of Dutch for professional use to a higher level, working with university students to prepare for their Dutch exams etc etc. I adapt my lessons to the needs of each student. With advanced students we discuss the news based on newspaper articles.
I speak fluent French, English, and Italian. I am a lawyer by training with 30 years of experience in international business. The ultimate goal of my lessons: to love Dutch and prepare for your future!

Some Reviews:
Chevaan:
Catherina is without a doubt THE best tutor we know. She is exceptionally committed and is always looking to inspire her students. She has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to help our son with his German. She provides excellent study material, engaging homework and follows up to ensure that her students have really grasped the subject matter.

Brian:
Catharina has been teaching our 11 year old daughter for the past few months and we are very impressed with her excellent progress in this short space of time.
Catharina has developed a very good rapport with our daughter and is patient and knowledgeable. Our daughter always looks forward to her next lesson and even hands in her homework on time! We would highly recommend Catharina to anyone who would like to learn a new language.

Afeisha:
Very professional, friendly and informative. I feel like Catharina will help me to reach where I need to. She doesn't just teach from the book, she teaches in a way that will allow you to blend in with ease. I am excited to learn more from her.

Egle:
Great tutor! Catharina adapts lessons to ones needs, gives very clear explanations and most importantly works on the pronunciation of the language. With every lesson she provides lesson material.

I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.

In our class we will be relaxed, I will help you with the Dutch conversation, the grammar, reading (like an article or a topic what I will give you). I will help students for beginners-lower-intermediate level. After every lesson I will give you homework for the next lesson. Between the two lessons you can always ask me a question about the subject what we’ve discussed. If you have a subject what you’d like to learn about the Dutch language, let me know. I’m looking forward to see you in my class.

Teaching children is almost "an art" Not everyone is able to place him or herself in the mind of a child and that is just so important! I teach playfully and at the same time they learn without really realizing they are in a lesson! I do this with diverse lesson material such as pictures, video's, and we are also practicing songs together. Did I make you curious, come take a look and see if your child is liking my way of teaching! Greetings Carolina.
