🎶 Singing with Science & Soul: Sound Great, Feel Even BetterTranslate this text using Google Translate.

🎶 Singing with Science & Soul: Sound Great, Feel Even BetterTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Graduate in Performing Arts from TAI University Graduate in Psychology with a Master’s in Music Therapy from UNED Specialized jazz studies at Berklee College of Music and Escuela de Música Creativa Studies in singing styles and vocal physiology at Nina Academia Vocal recovery training with LaxVox at Aurea Speech Therapy Clinic I have been studying opera and classical singing since the age of 12, as well as jazz, choral, and musical theater singing. I have been performing in musicals since 2015. These studies have given me a wealth of tools to adapt to what each student needs and wants, because the most important thing is that we never stop enjoying music. My classes are based on three core principles. The first is having a clear method, rooted in the real functioning of the voice—its physiology (what science tells us about how we use the body to sing)—and applicable to anyone, step by step, with logic. I always prioritize the student’s vocal health and rely on scientifically proven methods. I use simple language, without unnecessary technicalities, so everything is easy to understand and makes sense. The second is the emotional and psychological aspect. For me, connecting with the person in front of me is essential—understanding how they think, how they perceive themselves, what blocks them, and what motivates them. This way, I can adapt the classes to their personality and goals. I try to create a relaxed environment based on respect, trust, and a little humor, where everyone feels free and comfortable. We aren’t all born with the voice we wish we had, but we can all develop what we do have—and on that journey, singing becomes a way to know and accept yourself better. And the third is the dedication and professionalism with which I approach this work, which I am truly passionate about. All classes are divided into a warm-up and vocalization section, followed by work on a chosen piece suited to the student’s level and preferred style. Regardless of style or level, a foundation in classical singing will always be established.

Piano, Cello, Composition and Music Theory lessons in AmsterdamTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello there! My name is Antek and i'm a cellist, pianist and composer who graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg. I offer cello lessons, regardless of the level - whether you are a curious beginner or more advanced player, i'm happy to collaborate and share my knowledge and experience with you, as well as inspire your creativity regarding both playing the right notes, and making artistic choices. I can also help you prepare for conservatory entrance exams by providing Solfege, Ear-training and General Music Theory lessons. As a composer, I'm currently pursuing a degree at Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I can help you work on your ideas, and how to write them down, to sound exactly how you want them to sound. That includes tutorials on engraving rules, orchestration, working in DAWs (Ableton) and using sheet music software (Sibelius, MuseScore), as well as building your craft and workflow. I'm experienced in writing both instrumental and electronic music, as well as performance art, live electronics and multidisciplinary projects. I have also collaborated with institutions like National Polish Radio or CelloWercken Festival Zutphen. I hope to hear back from you soon and I'm looking forward to start working on your musical journey! Peace and Love Antek

Double Bass, Electric Bass, and Band Coach lessons. All ages and levels! KontrabasTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Double Bass, Electric Bass, and Band Coach lessons. All ages and levels! KontrabasTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! My name is Bjørk and I’m a professional double bass player living and teaching here in Amsterdam. I have 2 diplomas in Jazz Bass from Sweden and a degree in Jazz Bass Performance from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I love teaching and I have taught since 2016. And I love the bass! I teach double bass, electric bass, composition, improvisation, band coaching/ensemble lessons and music theory. I have experience teaching complete beginners with zero prior musical knowledge to more advanced players, and in all age ranges: from 5 year olds to 74 year olds. Every student is different and I always customize and adapt my lessons to your needs and your goals. And don’t worry if you’re not sure what those are yet, we can figure it out together! As I see it, music and learning should be most of all: fun! Of course it’s at times challenging, but we will focus on what you feel passionate about and see what works best for you. It's very important to me to get to know my students well, to be able to customize the lessons for you specifically. I engage as much as I can with each of my students and always prepare every week for our lessons so that you can get a good lesson whether you've practiced a lot this week or haven't had much time. We can always find something to do. It's my job to guide you and find out which kind of workflow works well for you. Even though I specialize in jazz, I have played many genres and we can do anything you want. Pop, rock, punk, indie, world-music/folk, funk, classical, or anything else that you are interested in. I also teach band coaching if you have a band that you want to play with.

Synth School! Creating Sound with Hardware and Software Music SynthesizersTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Have you bought a synthesizer or modular rig and are not sure where to start? Tired of using stock presets when working with softsynths in your DAW? Ready to learn how it all *works*? Learn from a pro - Andrew built Studio D, the electronic music suite at Omega Studios in Washington, DC. He created and ran the electronic music curriculum at Omega's School of Recording Arts and Sciences, where his students included industry professionals and recording artists like BT (EDM/trance pioneer, DJ and soundtrack composer). Andrew holds a degree in Electronic Music from the American University, and is an avid synthpop producer himself, via his band Birmingham Electric, where he regularly works with collaborators including Peter Hook (New Order), Malcolm Holmes (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark), Marco Pirroni (Adam and the Ants, Sinead O'Connor, Siouxsie and the Banshees) and Mark Reeder (MFS Records, Factory Records). He performs with synths live on a regular basis as well. Andrew is a firm believer in going back to the root fundamentals and gaining a deep understanding of how sound works, as well as experiencing synthesis hands-on to build "muscle memory" for programming. Learn at your pace - whether you're an absolute newbie or further along and exploring where to go next. It's possible to learn in Andrew's studio in Haarlem, or in your own space on your own gear. You don't need to have any synths to get started, but if you do, we can use them. Topics including - - How sound works (a little friendly physics) - Ways we model sound and the major types of synthesizers - Hands-on with different synthesis techniques - Translating sound ideas to synthesis - Using synths in music composition - Performing live with hardware and/or software synths - How to choose synths or plugins for your studio - Setting up your workspace - and workflow Ready to up your synth game? Private Music Lessons for Piano, Violin and Erhu (Chinese violin)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Private Music Lessons for Piano, Violin and Erhu (Chinese violin)Translate this text using Google Translate.

As a Cambridge University graduate in the Faculty of Education, I am delighted to have settled down in the Netherlands since September 2019. I started piano at the age of 5, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. Classically trained as a violinist, I picked up another instrument named Erhu (Chinese violin) and became a professional performer. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults, from different cultural backgrounds. Also, I have been actively involved in both Western and Chinese orchestra since high school. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am also familiar with orchestral music. As a humble music therapist, I am passionate about music and believe in the power of music. I trust that music is in everybody and I respect every student's individuality and thus tailor my teaching methods to develop my students' full potential. I started teaching in 2009 and most students put their trust in me when they first decided to learn an instrument. I also enjoy exploring the world of music with students with learning disabilities. I am proud to say, my students, aged from 5 to 60, are enthusiastic in playing the instrument they have chosen and keen to improve their skills following my advice. I adopt a flexible approach in teaching - I believe every student is unique and my job is to develop the strengths and improve the weaknesses. I put a lot of emphasis on a solid foundation in my teaching. For young children, I tend to use a more interactive approach to explain complicated music theories, yet strict in the fundamentals such as posture and rhythm. For adults, I am always happy to discuss with them my lesson plan and choose the best exercises and songs that suit their music interests and needs. For my students who would like to take exams, I am happy to tailor the lessons based on their progress. I believe in the quality of learning and understanding rather than the number of pieces that they learn. Many beginners and their parents have put their trusts in me and achieved distinction in their first ABRSM exam. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and a native speaker of Cantonese Chinese. I am happy to travel and travel costs will be added on the top of the standard tuition fee. *Proof of qualifications avaliable upon requests.

“ She creates a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere which puts one immediately at ease. She took the time to understand my goals and adapted the lessons towards the goal. Bjørk also has a knack for spotting where the student's difficulties lie and helping break the problem down into manageable steps to eventually get past these challenges. She's also quite enthusiastic about music and teaching and imparts that positive energy to those around her. ”

“ Excellent teaching skills. I had booked private lessons and Ton tailored every session exactly to my needs, and added even more. Beside photography, we discussed day-to-day technical topics such as back-up, storage, organising images, etc. You can see that Ton is used to being in a classroom - very structured and content focused. Excellent communication, always on time and also flexible to reschedule if needed. I will be back with more questions! ”

“ Anh really knows what he’s doing, not only he is expert in math, but as well excellent in his teaching technique. My son told me that he understood better and much easier with the technique taught by Anh. My son is junior school level, but wanting to learn bit advanced math compared to the topics he’s learning at school. He’s looking forward to having more learning with Anh and we booked immediately for 10 lessons. ”
