Compose Across Genres: From "Ice Merchants" Orchestrator (Oscars® Nominated)Translate this text using Google Translate.

This class is for anyone, musicians or non-musicians, professionals or amateurs, who want to discover how to express themselves through music. I've had the unique opportunity to work as the orchestrator and conductor for the soundtrack of "Ice Merchants," a film that got an Oscar nomination, a first prize in Cannes and more than 100 international awards. Besides working in film, my journey in the realm of music composition has been rich and varied, composing music for solo instrumentalists, chamber ensembles or even opera or large orchestras. These experiences have enriched my understanding of music, and I'm eager to share these insights with you. In our lessons, you will explore various aspects of music composition: · Compose Your Own Music: Learn how to create music that resonates with you and your audience, regardless of your current skill level. · Find Inspiration: Discover diverse sources of inspiration to keep your compositions fresh and engaging. · Instrumental Possibilities: Gain a deeper understanding of different instruments and how they can enhance your music. · Personalised Compositional Toolbox: Develop a unique set of skills and techniques that reflect your individual style. You can choose to focus on areas such as: — Classical Music: Explore both traditional and contemporary classical composition. — Songwriting: Craft songs in a variety of styles. — Electronic Music Production: Dive into the world of electronic music across genres. — Music for Cinema and Video Games: Learn about composing for visual media — Music Installations and Generative Music: Experiment with innovative music technology, using softwares like Max MSP, Logic Pro X or even AI. The lessons will be more than just learning how to compose; they will be about discovering your unique musical identity and the fun of bringing it to life. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to enhance your existing skills, I'm here to guide and support you on this musical journey.

Electric, Acoustic, Classical guitar lessons in Jazz, Rock, Blues, Pop, classical, eastern traditional folk music. Composition, singing.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hello there! My name is Vasilis and I am a jazz/rock/eastern traditional and classical guitar player, singer and songwriter currently studying as a 3rd year student in the Jazz and Pop guitar department of HKU conservatory. I am coming from Greece where I graduated from my first bachelor on classical guitar and the last three years I live, study, work and play in Utrecht. My teaching career started very early, 12 years ago when my classical guitar teacher let me teach my first student and since then I have worked in multiple music schools and in private lessons with students of every age. This year I also started giving my first band coaching group lessons. In my lessons I try to create a learning path that is formed arround the interests and taste of each student. Since I am a singer and songwriter the lessons can also focus on the creating part of music if of course the student is interested in that. I work with empathy and sensitivity arround the needs of each student. As for my playing career, I play with multiple bands on original songs of mine or covers in different venues and festivals in Europe. The genres differ between pop, jazz, rock, eastern traditional and blues so I can give a big variety of stylistic directions to each student. Last but not least, I am also a singer and because of my good performance in school, I was awarded from the HKU Conservatory the oportunity to follow the vocal curriculum of the school as well. So I can help you with singing too!

!!LOOKING FOR NEW GUITAR HEROES!!! "As one of the most popular and accessible instruments in today's musical landscape, the guitar spans a wide range of genres and its incredible sonic possibilities have made it a key instrument over the past 60 years. ." Eh?! What?!! Let's stop the blabla... Guitar is killing! Everyone loves it (that's probably why you're here) and I'm guessing you're like "How can I learn some of this crazy guitar stuff without selling one of my kidneys to some creepy guy on Youtube". Well... I'm not offering you the rock 'n' roll lifestyle, sprinkled with angel dust and full of groupies languidly waiting for you backstage, but I can at least offer you an organized guitar lesson based on a comprehensive approach to the instrument, targeted to your musical aspirations... In other words: what YOU like! I sincerely believe that the most effective way to learn music is to delve into what you love and explore it with passion and dedication. We will always start from the songs you like, step by step, following your workflow. My goal is simply to give you the best tips and tricks so that you can enjoy playing the songs you love or, if you wish, organize your guitar practice in the most efficient way. MOST IMPORTANT: I love to jam so be prepare to play some music :-). Together we will tackle various topics, we can also focus on: - Learn a song and be able to do it by yourself later. - Explore different musical styles: Pop, Rock, Blues, Funk, Jazz... - Guitar techniques using scales, triads and arpeggios. - Understand harmony and how to build chords. - Use your ear as a tool to find new ideas. - Being able to provide a nice and steady groove by studying rhythmic figures. - Immerse yourself in the beautiful world of improvisation. - Develop your intuition and your creativity as an improviser and apply it to the material you already know. !!!Only for the brave: we could also do a little music theory -> If you want!!! For more than 10 years now, I have been teaching students of different ages and levels, all very satisfied with the lessons. We could also do it online if that is more convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you!

Cristina is an extraordinary singing therapist and truly gifted at what she does. Arranging sessions was easy and flexible to set up. When I first started with sessions I really did not believe I could sing or even be in tune.I felt insecure and hesitant, but Cristina’s deep knowledge of vocal technique, her intuitive understanding of the voice, and her compassionate approach changed everything for me.She has a great ability to break things down and explain how the voice works in a way that feels accessible and empowering. I never felt embarrassed, which was usually the case when I would sing in front of anyone.Cristina didn’t just teach me how to sing and connect with my breath, she helped me find my voice. With her patient guidance, creative exercises (physical and mental), and insightful feedback, I began to understand my own sound and build confidence I never imagined having. Each session felt safe, supportive, and tailored to exactly what I needed emotionally and technically. What stands out the most is her combination of professional skill and genuine warmth.Cristina created an environment for me where vulnerability feels natural and every small step is celebrated. Her passion for her work is obvious, and it makes the entire experience not only therapeutic but truly transformative.I’m incredibly grateful for everything she has helped me discover in myself. If you’re looking for someone who is deeply skilled, compassionate, and truly invested in your growth you will not regret choosing Cristina. She is an exceptional teacher and an overall wonderful human being. Highly, highly recommend it to everyone willing to open up and learn how to connect with one's voice.

My first set of lessons were really great and I will definitely take more. I came in as a beginner and in every lesson Gala helped me make meaningful progress step by step. She is also very encouraging, motivating and playful during the lessons. Even if at times you just practice fundamental motions without using note sheets, if she's not actively giving feedback she will improvise to play along with you. Learning and playing with her always ends up being fun.

Nuno has been exceptional in assisting me on my musical journey, and expanding my knowledge base as a musician/composer. He's been great at customizing our lesson flow, and providing real world experience leaving me with a feeling of advancement and accomplishment that keeps me going. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in developing themselves as a musician, composer, or anything related.
