I've been teaching painting and drawing for five years, both in private lessons and groups. I'm also a self-taught artist, so I know how exciting (and sometimes frustrating!) learning art can be. I've made plenty of mistakes myself, and I know what it's like to be a student. That's why I don't believe in one method for everyone. I like to get to know my students, listen to what they want to achieve, and make each lesson feel personal, relaxed and enjoyable while helping them grow as artists!

A warm welcome. I am happy to help students on their way to an agreed final result. After the introduction, I will delve into the specific material and methods used at the school and get to work on the challenges at hand.

During my lessons, we will regularly focus on topics that stand out to you or that you find interesting. This makes learning much more fun. Additionally, we ensure that the tasks that need to be done are completed as stress-free as possible. I hope to achieve that you can eventually get started on your own with more self-confidence, so that tutoring is no longer even necessary! I can also assist with exam preparation, homework, or help with studying. We will start by taking stock of what you need, what you already know, and where I can help you. This way, we can create a personalized lesson plan. We will also discuss the best learning method for you. Do you learn best by writing, reading, or perhaps by telling stories or playing? I provide lessons and/or guidance to primary school, VMBO/MAVO, HAVO, MBO, and HBO students. This can take the form of biology tutoring (extra explanation, doing exercises, working on school assignments), exam training (help with self-confidence, studying together, taking practice exams), or general guidance (looking more positively at the subject/school, help with planning, help getting to know learning methods). If you are an adult undergoing retraining or have a change of interests, feel free to send me a message as well! Then we can see what we can do for each other. I am primarily available for online lessons. Sometimes I am in the Netherlands, and I can also teach in person by arrangement.

By learning to play piano, one learns not only what it means to approach something in a healthy, intelligent, curious, open, and highly skilled way (just like Olympic athletes), but also what it means to have patience, to learn what beauty is and can be, and how one can discover and be reminded of what is already in oneself. The lessons will be adapted completely to the individuals needs: where their preferences for genre lie, what their level is, the amount of time they have and are willing to put into learning to play piano and speak the language of the great composers. My own personal goal is to create a completely personalized approach to help the student find the way which works for them. There is no standardization. Additionally, piano playing and learning to play piano can't be separated from learning about eh theory and history behind it. That is an element which will be seamlessly incorporated into each lesson and which I personally find will help the individual grow not only as a pianist but as an individual in whatever they want to do.

It's easy to get stuck with a thesis. But... the longer you can't submit your work on time, the more annoying it becomes, the more stressed you become, and the more you'll procrastinate. Contact us for online guidance and get back on track with short, manageable tasks. A clever setup for the coaching: a half-hour face-to-face session. Then you pause the conversation and immediately begin a short writing assignment. Just do it, even if you get stuck. You'll then discuss your experiences, and we'll immediately address any problems you encounter. The session ends with another short writing assignment that you're interested in. Regardless of your program, I won't help you with the technical side of things. You can get that guidance at university. I'll simply help you (re)discover your writing voice and finish your thesis.
