Guitar & Composition Lessons For all Ages: Find YOUR way on the Guitar!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Guitar & Composition Lessons For all Ages: Find YOUR way on the Guitar!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Looking to grow as a guitarist and musician? Whether you’re starting out, or stuck beneath a musical “glass ceiling”, I offer fully personalized lessons mainly for intermediate but also to beginner level guitarists. I will be happy to discuss your or your child's needs and craft a course with you! If you’re an intermediate player, here’s the steps: - We’ll find out your level and current blocking points ⚠️ - We’ll carve a path together, targeting your weak spots (do you miss scales? modes? extended chords? arrangement theory? melodic development? and countless more) - We’ll create material together, based on your ideas or ideas that I will provide you ✏️ - You’ll become an all-around player that can create ideas, express them clearly, and elaborate them tastefully, while improvising in real-time. 🤘 If you’re a beginner player of any age: - We’ll figure out your vision (what do you listen to, and what would you like to sound like) - We’ll start with basic but engaging material, so that you reach base musicality as fast as possible. You’d be surprised how creative you can become with a couple of constraints and a bit of engagement! - We’ll slowly introduce the theory that sits behind your vision, the material, and your playing - You’ll develop intuition on the instrument and fluid playing in your preferred genre: The world is now your oyster 🤘

Traditional & Post-Contemporary Realist Oil PaintingTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Traditional & Post-Contemporary Realist Oil PaintingTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Note: ALL SUPPLIES & TOOLS ARE PROVIDED FOR THE STUDENTS FOR THE FIRST TEN (10) LESSONS — All canvas, stretcher-bars, panels, paper, brushes, pens, pencils, ink, charcoal, paints, varnish, etc. The finished artworks are, of course, your to keep. There are many ways to create a so-called "realistic" oil painting. And there are many visual tools that an artist can use to make a beautiful visual statement. Whether using thick impastos, thin washes of solvent-based color, bodied glazes, or mixed media elements, each technique can yield an engaging visual experience. Painting is, after all, a means of communication. In this course, we will begin with the basic ideas and techniques for drawing and painting forms as the eye sees them. You will learn every stage for producing aesthetically pleasing and technically strong oil paintings. We will discuss concepts and ideas for painting, developing different studies, stretching the canvas, line drawing, tonal lay-in, dead-coloring (or color block-in), and modeling the forms (1st painting, 2nd painting, and finishing). We will also cover the techniques of alla prima or premier coup (direct painting in one pass). We will also study the formal methods of composition, different kinds of perspectives, paint surface and paint quality (facture), and proportions. And, of course, we will discuss the use of varnishes, including the final picture varnish. Stay calm and confident if some of these terms are new to you. We will adapt the lessons for each artist. I will help you to learn, understand, and perform each step of the painting process. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced painter: there is something for you!

Private singing lessons for beginners/intermediates: meeting breath, body and voiceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Private singing lessons for beginners/intermediates: meeting breath, body and voiceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

First of all, if you tell yourself that: - you don't know how to sing because one day someone told you that you "sing badly" or "wrong" - you love to sing but only alone in the shower, in your car, or anywhere/when no one can hear you - you would like to approach practice in a way other than "classical" musical learning (--> music theory, scales, restriction to a single range, etc.) - you would like to gain more confidence in your vocal, rhythmic and/or breathing abilities - you would like to work on your "musical ear", your (stage) presence and/or different techniques of artistic expression (vocal) - you would like to learn more about your instrument which is your body, your breath and your voice in order to tame it and experience the ease and opulence in your singing ...and you find yourself (partially) in one or the other or each of these statements, it doesn't matter: there is a good chance that this course is made for you! Meet your voice. Explore the places of resonance in your body, the range of your emotions, the chants of your thoughts. Let yourself be inspired...exhale... Our body, this instrument - nay, this “nomadic cathedral” with its vaults, its alcoves, ... its multiple spaces of resonance - we are often intrinsically rather than intimately linked to it. The vibrations that we emit when we sound our breath, transforming into song, can prove to be a powerful tool in the resolution of tensions, the calming of the mind, but also in the (re)discovery of oneself through our body, our senses and our voice, this musicality that is unique to us. We experience the world on a daily basis through our body and our senses, and the voice allows us to share these experiences with others, both in its daily and extra-daily communicative function; artistic; poetic. But when the spoken voice gives way to the singing voice, Music allows us to go even further... Sometimes even to touch what is called the Ineffable. Oh yeah... Just that..! Don't panic, everything in its time ;)

Last year, at that the time my fiancé and I took waltz lessons from Carl for our wedding dance. It was a challenge to find dance lessons in Brussels because both of us are not Belgian and we don't speak either Dutch, or French. In addition, I am really not that good with rhythm when it comes to pre-set dances. Carl was very patient with us (me) and spoke to us in English. Not only he taught us how to dance waltz but also how to behave on the dancefloor as a couple. Everybody at the wedding was amazed of our waltz skills and they loved our wedding dance.

Great first experience with George! Very friendly and polite. I have had some lessons before, but this is way more personalized and to my liking. We really took the time (almost half of the first session!) to figure out our initial direction, and then we dove straight in. Very knowledgeable on the instrument, he already raised my confidence! Will definitely book again!

Komal really helped me with my lessons, she adapted to my rhythm. I really needed a lot of help and thankfully she helped me and I passed my exam. She is a great tutor and would be a great teacher, I really recommend to have as your tutor. I am so thankful to have met her she is a wonderful person and very kind, I can’t thank her enough... thank you Komal.
