About Me

Hello! My name is Leyla and I have been teaching French for almost ten years. I have worked in schools, institutions and privately in four different countries. Currently, I live in Brussels where I am writing a doctoral thesis in linguistics and language teaching.
I am passionate about languages and spend most of my free time practicing them. My own experience (theoretical and practical) in language learning allows me to organize private lessons tailored to each student. Together we will focus on your goals to make the lessons as effective as possible.

Education

I am currently a FNRS scholarship holder, which is funding my doctoral thesis in linguistics and language teaching (ULB and VUB). I have a Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Slavic Languages and Literatures (Czech and Russian). I regularly participate in innovative and varied training courses to enrich my knowledge and practice.

Experience / Qualifications

The institutions I have worked in are: French Institute of Slovakia (Bratislava), European School (Ixelles), EPFC (Brussels-internships). I have also given many private lessons in Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain and Slovakia. I have taught many different profiles (in terms of origin, age and level), and I have learned to adapt to the student to make the lessons enjoyable while remaining effective.

Currently, I work mainly with adults and young adults. I give general French lessons, grammar lessons, conversation lessons, advanced lessons, as well as French lessons for international relations and diplomacy, which are my specialty.
