My lessons are aimed at students in primary school, secondary school, and university (depending on the program and course). I was fortunate to have a very broad background in the exact sciences thanks to my civil engineering studies. My lessons can therefore cover chemistry (kinetics, equilibria, mass balances, etc.), mathematics (analysis, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, differential equations, etc.), and physics (electricity, mechanics, thermodynamics, etc.). Before starting private lessons, I usually ask for a description of the student's current course so that I can best prepare the sessions.

My studies also instilled in me a problem-based learning approach. My teaching method is therefore primarily practice-oriented, as the most important thing in the exact sciences is being able to solve any type of problem. And to do that, you have to do as many as possible. During my studies, I realized that the best way to understand a subject is by doing exercises on it. However, you still need to have some foundational knowledge. That's why I usually start with a brief review of the subject and provide a formula sheet with the important formulas. Then, I work through one or more typical exercises with the student, explaining the steps involved. Finally, the student will do exercises on their own, using the formula sheet (using formulas is the best way to remember them). I'm there to assess their understanding, answer their questions, and help them when needed.

About Me
I graduated as a civil engineer in June 2018 and I am finishing a supplementary master's degree in management this year.
From secondary school onwards, I have always been passionate about math, physics and chemistry, more generally the exact sciences, so it was only natural that I went towards civil engineering studies.
Following my participation in the "mini-enterprises" project during my final year of secondary school, which sparked a passion for business management, accounting, and finance, I long hesitated between civil engineering and management engineering. I opted for the former, deciding in my final year to pursue a two-year evening master's degree in management immediately after completing my civil engineering studies.
I can give math, chemistry, physics, accounting and finance lessons to secondary school, college or university students (depending on the subject).
Education
- 2018-2020: Advanced Master's degree in management, 120 ECTS credits, evening classes, finance option (Solvay Brussels School)
- 2019-2020: Delegate of the Master 2 students of the supplementary master's program in management.
- 2016-2018: Master's degree in Civil Mechanical Engineering, specializing in energy and aeronautics.
- Sept 2016-2018: Delegate for the Mechanical Engineering Master's program (UCL)
- January - June 2017: Erasmus exchange at Lund University (Sweden)
- 2013-2016: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Major in Physical Chemistry and Mechanics. (UCL)
- 2013: presentation of the secondary school final project (in mathematics) at the spring of science. Prime Minister's Prize and Mathematics Prize.
- 2007-2013: Secondary studies at Collège Saint-Michel (Brussels). Options in advanced mathematics (8 hours/week) and advanced science (6 hours/week) in 5th and 6th year of secondary school.
Experience / Qualifications
From secondary school onwards, as I was in the advanced mathematics program (8 hours/week), I was used to teaching math and science to friends; it was my first experience. Once I got to university, I gave private math lessons through word of mouth.
During my civil engineering studies, I also tutored a class of about thirty civil engineering students in the Chemistry-Physics 1 and Chemistry-Physics 2 courses. As part of my tutoring, I took a university-accredited course on learning strategies, which taught me how to be an effective tutor. This was extremely helpful in refining my teaching methods.
In addition, I am used to being with young people because I have been involved in youth movements (Cub Scouts and Scouts) and I have also been a leader.

I worked for 3 years as a project manager engineer in a certification company and I am about to start as a senior financial transformation consultant at EY.

I help students in understanding mathematical concepts. Would like to teach in small groups as I feel that collaborative learning is better that private lessons. Discuss ideas in small groups and you remember them for long time. And you learn with fun also. I have tutored european school students, students with ISCSE syllabus and level A mathematics.

The classes I offer are for students in grades 1 through 6 of high school. I graduated from Sint-Jan Berchmans College in science/mathematics, and I've just finished my master's degree in energy from UCL as a civil engineer, so I've put in a lot of hours of math and science. I'm also a scout leader, hockey coach, and kitesurfing instructor! So, I'm very good with students this age and have extensive experience in pedagogy. Hope to see you soon!

Math teacher gives private lessons in math-statistics and probability.

My teaching has already proven itself with several students that I have already followed and that I continue to follow. It consists of short-term help in overcoming the difficulties of a project or of certain chapters, just as it also consists of continuous monitoring to give students the means to play a role in their successes. The main goal is not to learn selfishly, but to teach the student how to manage his time and his way of working: these points are very important for success in these studies continuously.
my course is for students:

> Secondary: I offer a lesson to the students + the exercises
> Central jury: I offer a course to students, work on exams from previous years
> Entrance exam of medicine and polytechnic .: I offer a course support to students, cards, summaries, qcm.
> Higher education students: statistics and probability: descriptive statistics, probability, inferential statistics (binomial, normal, Poisson, sampling-estimation, confidence intervals, statistical tests (hypotheses) chi-square test, Anova.etc).

I am a student in sixth year secondary at the European School of Brussels 2, in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. I mainly have scientific options, biology 4 periods as well as chemistry 4 periods and I have the option of mathematics 5 periods. I have excellent marks in these subjects but being in a very diversified school, I speak 4 languages (Spanish, French, English and Portuguese).

I feel able to help pupils in difficulty in these subjects or simply introduce them to these subjects.

I am a 3rd year medical student and I am good at math and general science. I am aware that the first difficulty of these subjects resides first of all in the choice of a working method which is intended to be effective.
I will first think of helping you develop a method that suits you best.
Moreover, knowing that without passion there is no motivation, I will be the ally who will help you find a real source of interest in the sciences that we are going to demystify together.

Finally we will find techniques for solving exercises that are effective and strategic.

An experienced teacher, I tailor my course on the specific needs of my students, so they can reach the desired level in math/physics/chemistry as quickly as possible. My approach is practical, and goal-oriented (examination, certificate, etc.).

I give courses to high-school and bachelor level students. I speak French, English, and Dutch.

About :
An engineer by background ("ingénieur civil"), I have become an education professional with a significant experience teaching math, physics and chemistry both in the classroom (lycée Mater Dei, Woluwé-Saint-Pierre), and outside the classroom.

I resolve issues that students have for instance because of pre-existing learning gaps, or difficulties to understand the complex aspects of scientific courses in the classroom.

I hold Master Degree in Chemical Engineering and right now I'm working in Research and Development on Scientist position.

I'm always focused on student's weak points and put as much effort as possible to enhance them. My approach to classes is interactive, so that I'm not the only one who speaks during the class. Student is engaged as active participant who can always share its doubts and ask questions. Tracking student's progress and giving further inputs for its educational development.

Online classes are done with virtual board and all notes are shared with student in the end of the class.

I've been working with a variety of students, ages 7 to 18, for the past three years. I teach Math, Chemistry, Biology, and English. I help students with their homework and get them ready for big exams. I have experience supporting IB students with their courses, besides with the Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs), offering guidance on research planning, scientific writing, and alignment with IB assessment criteria. I love teaching, and it makes me happy to help students overcome their academic challenges and see their progress over time.

I believe that knowledge is built from basics and deep understanding of concepts with practicality.
Any concept learnt with practical application is more important than theoretical knowledge and worth in the long term. With this in mind you can expect me to deliver information in a simple and effective manner for better understanding.
