Hi, I am Maria and English is my first language. I studied English and American Literature at California State University Northridge and Translation at Heidelberg University. Later in my life I also studied law in Belgium and specialized in public procurement and contract law. I worked for many years as a translator and administrator in the Council of the European Union. I also served on an EPSO selection board in order to recruit translators. My three children went to one of the European Schools in Brussels, so I'm familiar with how the European School system works.
