Welcome to our English classes! I’m Silvan, an experienced language teacher with a diverse academic and professional background. Our classes aim to enhance your speaking and listening skills, boost your confidence, and support your writing and reading abilities.
Each class is uniquely tailored to your needs, interests, and level, providing a full immersion in an English-speaking environment. This approach naturally encourages you to think and communicate directly in English, accelerating your journey to fluency and boosting your confidence.
As a native Indonesian speaker who also speaks some Japanese, I can assist students who are native Japanese or Indonesian speakers. However, this will only be when it is absolutely necessary and there is no other way for them to explain or understand in English.

About Me
Hello! I’m a native Indonesian speaker with native-level fluency in English, thanks to my extensive international experience. I’ve lived and studied in Australia and the US, and have been residing in Tokyo, Japan for more than eight years.
I started my journey abroad at a young age, completing my high school in Australia. I then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Australian National University, followed by further studies at Colorado State University. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree, I completed a Master of Biotechnology at the University of New South Wales.
My professional experience is as diverse as my academic background. In Indonesia, I worked for a Singaporean cord blood bank and a private laboratory clinic. In Japan, I spent three years teaching English at Berlitz Japan language school, focusing on business English and also teaching high school and university students. Currently, I work for a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) company, where I am in charge of providing the in-house English language training courses. Additionally, I participate in meetings with foreign companies to bridge communication with our CRO.
In addition to English and Indonesian, I have also learned Mandarin and Japanese. But language isn’t my only passion! Outside of work, I’m an avid magician who has performed shows in several countries including Australia, the USA, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and the Philippines. In Japan, I even learned and performed the traditional Japanese magic, Watsuma. In my free time, I enjoy doing weight training and making YouTube videos for my channel. Also, I have been a member of the Minato City Internationalization Promotion Advisor Committee for about three years and am now serving my second term.
With my rich linguistic background and diverse interests, I’m confident that our lessons will be engaging and effective. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve your language skills for business purposes, I look forward to helping you on your language learning journey.

若い頃から海外での生活を始め、オーストラリアで高校を卒業しました。その後、オーストラリア国立大学で生化学と分子生物学の理学士号を取得し、さらにコロラド州立大学で学びました。学士号取得後は、ニューサウスウェールズ大学でバイオテクノロジーの修士号を取得しました。
