Guitar lessons "à la carte"! All styles all levels

Guitar lessons "à la carte"! All styles all levels

I propose private lessons adapted to your request. We define your level, the style (s) you want to learn, the time you can devote to the instrument, and set goals. You choose if you want to learn with or without solfeggio, if you want to address theoretical aspects (harmony, ear training, ...), techniques (arpeggios, picking, scales, ...) or rather focus on the repertoire. I invite you to propose pieces that will kick you to have more pleasure to work them; ) Beginners / confirmed Acoustic or electric guitar Styles: jazz, rock, song, reggae, blues, folk, ... With or without solfeggio I speak english Ability to address the composition / work your pieces Preparation for entrance exams at the Jazz Conservatoire Graduated in pedagogy by the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I was able to do my jazz guitar and harmony lessons at the Amay Music Academy. I teach jazz guitar at the Jette Academy for 4 years. I look for a method that works for every student, where they can make their own learning choices and accomplish their own goals. Graduated in jazz guitar by the Brussels Conservatory, I had the chance to study with the best jazzmen in Belgium. Since I was 13, I have regularly performed in concert with rock, reggae, song or funk bands. Now professional, I am active on the Belgian and international scene with many projects. I was able to record a dozen albums and some film music.

Learn the piano in a fun and stimulating way. Learning piano in a playful and engaging way.

Learn the piano in a fun and stimulating way. Learning piano in a playful and engaging way.

In French : For almost ten years, my method has strived to move away from those found at the Academy, sometimes considered austere and outdated. In my opinion, the student is the main actor in his learning, and the teacher should be his caring guide. In my opinion, his role is to provide him with appropriate help and support, and not to impose pre-established rules that do not take into account his unique needs. The image of the harsh and cold teacher should therefore be forgotten with me. My philosophy is always to encourage without imposing. The student will also have the opportunity to have access to a much broader repertoire than that imposed in classical education. Thus, he will be able to play his favorite music from all walks of life, whether it be themes from songs, plays, films, series or even video games. Of course, I also encourage classical music, as long as the student finds pleasure in it, which remains and will remain the most important for me. After all, what is music if not the purest and universal essence of our humanity, which brings together and unites our hearts and minds? In English: Over a decade of teaching, I have developed a method of teaching piano that differs from the ones found in the academic environment. For me, the student should be at the center of his learning journey. The teacher should be a guide who provides the student with tailor-made help and support, without forcing preexisting rules that don't reflect the unique needs of each student. No cold, strict or ill-tempered teaching on my watch! My philosophy goes by the following: always encourage, never impose. The student also has the opportunity to explore a much larger repertoire than the one imposed in classical education. He/She has the freedom to play any music from all backgrounds, including songs, shows, movies, series or even video games. Of course I also encourage classical music, as long as the student enjoys it, which will always be the most important part for me. After all, what is music, if not the purest and most universal essence of our humanity, the one that connects our hearts and souls?

“ Nina was a great tutor, quick to reply and able to provide answers to all the questions and problems I had for my masters thesis. She even spent time giving me tips for my future job search. I definitely recommend her for anything economics/econometrics/STATA. ”
