I am Joan, a professional classical guitarist newly based in Vienna. I am from Barcelona, obtained a First Class Bachelor's degree in Music and a Master's degree in Performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, and I have now landed in Vienna, where I do a Postgraduate Certificate at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) with Prof. Alvaro Pierri. I am also an active performer, with more than 30 concerts a year across Europe, the USA and the UK.

Besides performing, I have been teaching for more than 10 years now. Last year as a Junior Fellow at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, but also privately, in music schools, conservatoires, primary and secondary schools and summer camps. My experience with guitar started with classical guitar when I was 6 years old and moving on to playing electric guitar at age 14.
Being immersed in playing primarily blues and jazz music.
