Methodology - History and Political Science for high school, middle school or first year university students
From 38 C$ /h
Having obtained the General Baccalaureate with the congratulations of the jury, while preparing for the IEP competition, I acquired the logic and method required by the history-geography and HGGSP courses at the high school, as well as the knowledge in varied subjects, mainly in human and social sciences (History, Political Science, Law, Economy, Sociology, Humanities, etc.)
I had the opportunity to complete an internship in a middle school and another in a high school which allowed me to understand the recurring problems among students as well as the diversity of difficulties sometimes encountered by them.
In order to best overcome everyone's difficulties, my priority will always be to identify the student's expectations through good communication.
During this course, according to the wishes and needs of the student, we will be able to work on different points of methodology (dissertation, document analysis, etc.), but also on knowledge of varied natures allowing us to excel in these subjects.

About Me
Third-year student at Sciences Po Paris, on exchange at UBC, who graduated in 2021 with a French general baccalaureate général with "Felicitations du jury" (highest honors).
In high school, I took history, geography, geopolitics and political science (HGGSP).
I also took part in the optional courses of history-geography in English and expert mathematics.
At Sciences Po, I have already studied History, Economics, Law, Sociology and Political Science, as well as other courses such as "Intellectuals in their time" and "Key issues of the European Union".
My recent high school experience keeps me abreast of recent reforms. In addition, two internships with the French Ministry of Education (one in junior high and one in high school) have enabled me to understand the recurring difficulties encountered by students.

Experience / Qualifications
--> 2-month internship in a high school (Dijon):
During this "civic course", I worked in pairs with another Sciences Po student to carry out a project aimed at high school classes in the general and technological streams. We gave talks on the European Union, its creation, enlargement and deepening, as well as on European institutions. We also organized courses and simulations on the European process, including the vote on a European directive and regulation. We also gave classes on EU law as part of the "Droit et grands enjeux du monde contemporain" (DGEMC) course, and took part in the "Enseignement moral et civique" (EMC) course on the workings of the French Fifth Republic, notably by setting up a simulation of a draft law. We felt that these missions were essential, particularly given the current state of affairs surrounding the law in France, a topic that is rarely addressed in high school. We therefore sought to make the concepts we covered about the workings of the Fifth Republic and the European Union more concrete and less superficial.
--> 3-month internship in a secondary school (Dijon):
During this internship, the missions I was given were both protean and enriching. First of all, I was able to give tutoring and homework help, individually or in small groups, to students needing personalized attention. I was also able to attend classes given by different teachers in a variety of subjects. In addition, one of my tasks was to work in pairs to create a video showing a virtual tour of the school and its various facilities. My final assignment was to support a literature teacher in the UPE2A (Unité pédagogique pour élèves allophones arrivants) program. This unit aims to teach the French language to students who have recently arrived in France and are not fluent in it. In this way, I was able to help teach French to around twenty students of varying levels, with the aim of helping them pass the DELF (diplôme d'enseignement de la langue française) at the end of the year, or even the Brevet des collèges.
