About Me

I moved to Valencia in July 2026 after living and working in London for the previous eight years. Playing bass is a true passion of mine, and I have been dedicated to the instrument for 22 years now.Alongside my performing career, I spent the last eight years teaching 1-on-1 bass guitar lessons and running band sessions in London schools.

Teaching is something I genuinely love to do, and I believe my knowledge of the instrument and passion for music make me a highly effective instructor.My approach is focused on patience. If you are a beginner, we can take all the time you need to ensure you feel entirely comfortable with the instrument. Together, we can build your technique, timing, and posture in the way that works best for you.

I am a professional bassist with 22 years of playing experience, a Jazz degree from Leeds College of Music (2013), and 10 years of teaching experience in London schools and private studios. My career includes international touring, studio recording, and live performances across the pop and jazz scenes:-

Pop & Touring: Bassist for Blanco White, Olive Jones, and Beatenberg. Touring includes UK, US, and European festival dates (e.g., Best Kept Secret), alongside sold-out shows at London's Barbican and KOKO.

Jazz & Session Work: Performed at Ronnie Scott's and The Vortex with Ashley Henry and Raffy Bushman. Additional performance credits include Damon Albarn and Joan as Policewoman (including the Tony Allen Tribute at the Royal Festival Hall).I have recorded on the studio albums of nearly all of these artists and bring this real-world industry experience directly into my teaching.

I have a higher degree in composition from the Valencia Conservatory of Music in addition to a professional clarinet degree.
* I offer classes in harmony, musical language, music theory, analysis, clarinet and piano. I adapt to the level and musical taste of the student, either to review, need to recover, start from scratch or simply to enjoy and see it from another point of view to expand knowledge.

* I also prepare entrance exams to a professional degree for the theory, clarinet and piano part, and to the higher one for the harmony, analysis and composition part.

* I control the Sibelius score editor, so I can also do arrangements (or other types of commissions) or teach how to use it.

There is the possibility of taking classes in any subject online. I mainly work with Zoom, but I am open to working with more tools such as Skype and Google Meet.

In this course you will be able to learn from the basic principles of the instrument, such as its parts and the functionality of each of them without neglecting the parts of the bow and a little of its history, seeing how its structure has been changing. with the evolution of music and the instrument, learning how its mechanics work and talking a little about the different materials from which they can be made. You will also learn how to have a correct posture when taking the instrument, avoiding all kinds of long-term injuries and taking advantage of gravity as a resource in favor with different relaxation and naturalness exercises that will make us be one with the Violin.
