About Me

He had private lessons with Bobby Shew, Gerard Presencer, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Alex Sipiagin and Rik Mol & Koen Smits and participated in workshops & masterclasses with big names in Jazz, both in the national and international scene, such as: João Mortágua, Abé Rábade, Jeffery Davis, Demian Caboud, Louis Perdomo, Susana Santos Silva, Alex Sipiagin, Jason Palmer, Seamus Blake, Chris Cheek, Peter Evans, Michael Lauren etc.

Education

Born in 1997, he began his musical studies at the age of 10 at the Banda Filarmónica de Ceira under the direction of maestro Luís Miguel Pinto. In 2012, he joined the Professional Jazz Instrumentalist Course at the Coimbra Conservatory of Music, where he studied with the Galician trumpeter Ricardo Formoso.
He had private lessons with Bobby Shew, Gerard Presencer, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Alex Sipiagin and Rik Mol & Koen Smits and participated in workshops & masterclasses with big names in Jazz, both in the national and international scene, such as: Philip Dizack, João Mortágua, Abé Rábade, Jeffery Davis, Demian Caboud, Louis Perdomo, Susana Santos Silva, Alex Sipiagin, Jason Palmer, Seamus Blake, Chris Cheek, Peter Evans, Michael Lauren etc.
He currently has a degree in music from ESMAE (Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectacle) in the Jazz variant, trumpet instrument and is currently taking a Master in Performance at HKU - Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht Conservatorium.

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject.

Hi! I've been playing piano since I'm 6 years old. Over than 14 years I took classical lessons from 2 different piano virtuosos. Depending on your own set of goals, we can study classical or/and contemporary styles without compromising from technical study. Because, acquiring the perfect technic is as important as not being bored from the lessons by going too much pro on it :). Believe me, I'm speaking from the experience.

I'm great with kids and love to work with them. Don't get me wrong relatively older possible students of mine! I have vast resources for all ages and levels. And it's never too late to start learning anything.

For about 14 years I have studied various aspects of music, I’ve studied piano, vocals and composition, and now I am studying piano in the jazz and pop course. How amazing is it to play the music that lives in your head?
Piano is by no means difficult, it make’s for a great hobby and is a wonderful stress reliever.
