Hello everyone!

I am Mélanie, a flautist since I was little and a teacher for around fifteen years.
Graduated with a degree in jazz musicology, a DEM in classical and jazz, MIMA, and a DNSPM in jazz/MAA/World music.
I am a teacher mainly in two Toulouse structures, the Ateliers Musicaux and Music'Halle, while continuing a stage activity with different groups.

I offer flute lessons on different musical styles (classical, jazz, modern music, world music) for all levels.

The goal of my teaching is to discover this instrument in all its forms, activate musical curiosity and openness. Create the fastest possible autonomy regardless of age, so that the intimate relationship with his instrument and music in general is a real pleasure.

Being already very busy with my positions, I can no longer give private lessons with follow-up every week, but occasional lessons to consolidate something, or provide time for a particular project, or for a short internship, etc.
The classes will be at my home.
I am available every other Monday or every other Thursday and Friday/Saturday when possible, you must communicate to see availability.

About Me

I started learning music and the transverse flute in classical training, exciting music; But what pushed me to continue was especially discovering how to use this instrument on other styles of music on which (in France and Europe in general) we do not expect to hear it! And yet, the flute being one of the oldest instruments in the world, it is found on thousands of different music, and adapts to everything!
So I like to open the students, give them a taste for improvisation while training them to read.
Everything is beautiful, and everything is complementary!
I think the main thing is openness and curiosity. All animated by pleasure!

The transverse flute is a wind instrument. Like any musical instrument, learning takes a long time and must be regular in practice. I designed this course to allow you to start this instrument or to continue to practice it regularly while acquiring new bases and in order to continue to progress.

Classes can take place at the student's home or in my apartment in downtown Toulouse.
