About Me

I'm from the United States and have been living in Georgia for two years. I live in Sololaki, a beautiful neighborhood lined with Italian courtyards and wooden balconies in Tbilisi. I love watching movies from around the world, writing, splashing around in the water, and sitting at little cafes with espresso.

Experience / Qualifications

I currently work with the Georgian government on the Teleskola program for young learners. It has been a challenging and fun experience working with students through television! Previously, I served two years with Peace Corps Georgia in the region of Imereti in a public school (ages 6-18) and kindergarten (ages 4-5), and one year working with adults (18+) in Southeast Asia. Learning with dyslexia, ADHD, or any other learning difficulty can be frustrating. Especially when you are expected to study in the same way as everyone else, despite your brain just working differently. I know this from personal experience.

I am a law student with dyslexia and ADHD, and over the years I have developed practical strategies that have helped me study, stay organised, and succeed academically. I now want to share those tools with children, teenagers and adults who may be facing similar challenges.

For younger students, I can provide homework and study support, helping them understand how they learn best and how to use practical tools such as mind maps, flashcards, digital resources, structured study sessions and focus techniques. If they already have a diagnosis, I can also help them understand the accommodations and learning tools available to them at school and encourage them to become more confident in communicating their needs.

Just as importantly, I understand the frustration that can come from teachers, classmates or others misunderstanding dyslexia, ADHD as well as other learning difficulties. My aim is to create a supportive, judgement-free environment where students can ask questions, experiment with different study methods and build confidence in their abilities.
