I am offering the opportunity to improve your English in a private in-person format in a location of your choosing in Tartu, Estonia. I am a Canadian-born native English speaker who is proficient in Estonian and have lived in Tartu for approximately eight years. My formal higher education includes a BA from the University of Toronto (Sociology, Semiotics), MA from Tartu University (Sociology), and a BEd from the University of Toronto (Primary-Junior Education). I am a board certified teacher (Ontario College of Teachers) who is in good standing. My formal teaching experience includes over ten years in an elementary public school setting (Canada, Ontario) and USA, Hawaii). Additionally, I have worked in Tokyo, Japan as an English teacher working with students aged 5 to 50+, including conversational, business, and formal English. Prior to working as a teacher I worked in Higher Education Administration for several years at some of the most competitive universities in Canada and the United States where I supported and managed on-campus student leaders. Overwhelmingly my students and colleagues consistently tell me that I am very kind and patient. Others know me for my high standards, desire to achieve perfection, and great attention to detail.
