Taiwanese Mandarin classes: dealing with everyday life situations you encounter in Taiwan using Mandarin
From 43.42 C$ /h
My teaching style is to let learners choose the topics they want, whether it's about their interests, asking questions, or to focus on the issues they encountered in their daily life with Chinese in Taiwan. I also make customize materials for them so that they can review or preview even they are not in class. I like to let my learners be the person who chooses the topic for our class since I thought that's more helpful for learning a language - learn the things you want (but not the offensive topics) or learn the things for solving the problem you encountered with Chinese. I also let my students be able to read tickets from banks, to understand what natives said in text, to practice what to say when get to glasses stores, even learned things about eyelashes in Chinese .etc by learners' need. I offer classes whether for listening, speaking, reading and writing.
For the Chinese conversation in my class, we can role-play and you can try to speak more and more as you can. Don't be afraid to say something wrong. I invite you to make more and more mistakes when you use this language in my class. If you make more mistakes, you can learn more from them and be more impressive. I would help you so no worries! Just have fun together and improve together.

About Me
These are my specialty about teaching Chinese:
.customized materials (e.g. to read bank ticket and different menu, to have a conversation with others when you are pregnant, go to glasses store .etc. My goal is to help my students solve the Chinese problems they encounter in Taiwan)
.materials making: most of the materials I made with audios (except the files for practicing recognizing characters)
.guiding the learners to familiar, to distinguish,
to observe and to mimic the sounds made by different natives in Taiwan
.correcting tone problems by pitch contour not pitch makers
.help learners recognize Traditional Chinese characters for solving the reading issues in their daily life
.group discussion
.role-play and improv style conversational practice
( practicing how to react and continue the conversation when interacting with natives)

Do you often find it difficult to understand what Taiwanese people are saying because their pronunciation sounds unclear or they speak too fast? In my lessons, I use fun Taiwanese YouTube videos to help you observe, identify, analyze, understand, imitate, and adapt to the way Taiwanese people actually speak. Through this process, you’ll gradually get used to and understand the pronunciations you used to find confusing, and you’ll also practice producing speech more fluently and at a faster pace.
