Have fun learning English with a Canadian in Alsace!

Hi! I am a Canadian student in Strasbourg and I am offering regular conversational sessions. As a native speaker, I am able to provide an immersive and authentic conversation experience. If you have already studied English, here is your chance to converse with a new accent. In learning French and Spanish, I have found learning from a variety of accents very helpful as it helps train your ear! In our first session, I will work with you to figure out the best level and focus, then we can meet regularly to chat and set up weekly assignments or check-ins. Fun stuff, like watching a movie, but things that will help continue your learning at home.

About Me
Hello! I am a Canadian student in Strasbourg for one year. I am loving the city so far, very European but with plenty of nature! Back home, I have a dog and a rabbit, and two younger siblings. I'm a classic Canadian - I play hockey (I've been skating since I could walk!), like Tim Hortons, and probably say "Sorry!" more than I need to. In the conversation classes I offer, we can explore a variety of subjects, and we can chat all about the cultural differences between Canada and France if you would like!
Education
I am studying Sociology, Hispanic Studies, and Entrepreneurship at McGill University. I am currently on exchange at the University of Strasbourg studying Sociology. I am very lucky to attend one of the best schools in Canada while also having the opportunity to take a break from full-time studies back home to explore France.
Experience / Qualifications
As a native English speaker, I have a lifetime of experience with the English language. I write at a high level and receive regularly high grades on my academic work. As someone who loves to learn languages, I understand the challenges and frustrations that come along with it, and I know what you need from a conversation with a native speaker that you can't get from Duolingo.
