About Me
I am a reviewer, novelist, and poet whose work has appeared in over a dozen journals, magazines, and literary festivals—and been nominated or a finalist for 3 awards, including the Pushcart and Omnidawn Chapbook Prize.
I have worked on hundreds of translations, as well as dozens of presentations to corporate sponsors and grant applications for the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV). I've also taught English at Intermediate and Advanced levels to all age groups, from elementary to college students to young professionals aged 18 to 60.
I founded the 2nd Creative Writing Program for ELLs at the Brooklyn Public Library in 2016 (the only one of its kind in NYC), and have been offering mentorship and editorial skills—from manuscript counseling to graduate school applications—through nonprofit organization Brooklyn Poets, since 2018. (Any further information about me is available in a CV upon request.)
