Flute Lessons with a Juilliard-Trained Flutist — All Levels & ABRSM Exam Prep
From 113 C$ /h
Hi! I'm a professional flutist and educator with over a decade of international training and performing experience. I trained at the Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School, and the Peabody Institute, and I now perform and teach in Korea.
As a performer, I've appeared on stages including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Seiji Ozawa Hall at the Tanglewood Music Center, and the Seoul Arts Center. I've served as guest principal with orchestras including the KBS Symphony Orchestra, and I perform regularly with Korea Flute Soloists and the Ye Trio. I currently teach at Pusan National University and Chongsin University, and I serve on the boards of the Korea Flute Association and the Korea Flute Society.
In my lessons, I work with students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners picking up the flute for the first time, to advanced players preparing for auditions, recitals, or exams. I have particular experience guiding students through ABRSM graded exams.
What you can expect:
·A strong foundation in tone, breathing, and technique
·Real musicality and expression — not just playing the right notes
·Repertoire chosen around your own goals and taste
·Clear, encouraging feedback at a pace that suits you
·Focused exam and performance preparation (including ABRSM)
Lessons are held in person at a rehearsal studio in Seocho-dong, Seoul, with timing arranged flexibly in consultation with each student.
Whether you want to play for pure enjoyment, pass a graded exam, or pursue music seriously, I'll help you build real, lasting skills on the flute. Lessons available in English and Korean. I'd love to hear about your goals — feel free to reach out!
