Music Production & Ableton Live with an Established Professional – Beginners Welcome

Complete beginners are very welcome. You do not need previous production experience or music theory. Whether you are opening Ableton for the first time, struggling to finish tracks, or already producing and want to improve your sound, I tailor each lesson to your level, musical taste, and goals.
We can work on Ableton Live, MIDI, sampling and workflow; turning loops into finished tracks; arrangement and song structure; sound design, synthesizers and effects; mixing and mastering; developing your own sound; detailed feedback on your productions; and practical advice about releases, labels, DJing and the music industry.
The lessons are practical and centred on your own music. We can work directly on your projects or build a track together from scratch. I am Lars, an international DJ and music producer with more than 25 years of experience. I have released music on labels including Golden Recordings, Mobilee, Nervous, Katermukke, Stil Vor Talent and Kittball, worked with Boris Dlugosch and Phil Fuldner, and produced remixes for Purple Disco Machine and Claptone. I have performed at venues and festivals including Watergate Berlin, Pacha Ibiza, Printworks London, Tomorrowland and Fusion Festival. Lessons are available in English or German via Zoom with screen sharing and high-quality audio.

Extra information
You need a computer with Ableton Live installed, a stable internet connection, headphones or speakers, and Zoom. You may bring your own Ableton projects, unfinished tracks, or reference music. All levels are welcome.

About Me
Hi, I’m Lars Moston, an international DJ and music producer with more than 25 years of experience. I come from Berlin’s electronic-music scene and now live in San Francisco.
My lessons are friendly, practical and shaped around each student’s music. Complete beginners are welcome, as are experienced producers who want sharper feedback, a better workflow or help finishing tracks. Rather than follow a rigid syllabus, we work on the skills and creative decisions that will make the biggest difference to your own productions.

My education comes from more than 25 years of hands-on work in electronic music production, DJing, recording, arranging, mixing and mastering. I have developed my craft through professional releases, collaborations, remixes, studio work and performances at international clubs and festivals.
