Hello,

I am Tristan, I am 27 years old and I have been playing music for over 20 years. I have a unique and broad understanding of music that has stemmed from multiple facets including my participation in music throughout my public education, my formal music education from UNM, my ongoing involvement in musical theatre, and my personal endeavors in music composition and performance.
I believe that music has a powerful way of bringing people together and I'm passionate about using it to communicate, teach, and empower people of all levels and ages.

Beginner's Trumpet Lessons for students of All Ages!

Trumpet is an instrument that is great for beginning musicians of any age! Together we will begin to explore the world of sound and music through the trumpet. We will learn how to hold and play on the trumpet, how read music, and eventually learn how to play your favorite songs!

Music lessons are a space to learn and experience meaningful connections amongst individuals through discussing musical material as a means of expression and thoughtfulness. In the individual lessons we discuss possibilities of thinking about sounds and ways of bringing sounds to life in different ways.

Violin lessons are in particular a great way of exploring the connectedness of the thought, feelings, and body through learning the instrument as well as reading music. In each lesson, we discuss ways of developing a better understanding of this connection using different methods; the methods used for each student can vary according to their needs. As a result, students will be able to play different music on the violin and improvise on the instrument.

In music theory, ear training, and composition lessons we delve into the basics of music theory in Western Classical tradition, the history of it, and look at some examples as well as practical exercises for a better understanding of the material. Through the process of learning, we will explore different ways of implementing different theoretical aspects of the sound in creative practice.
