About Me

My approach to teaching and supervision is informed by two ideas. First, I believe that teaching English and Chinese is done best when more abstract ideas, such as those about news, arts, music, are discussed with a view to students' interests. Second, I believe in emphasizing the continuity of students' study so that students feel connected to cutting-edge news and world. I got my BA degree in English, then I pursued my MSc degree in Political Science at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. Finally, I got my PhD in Politics, at the University of Manchester, also in the UK.
