In this series of lessons we focus on conversations. Often the most difficult step is from theoretical knowledge to practice. Do you suddenly start to hesitate in a conversation whether you should use 'perfecto' or 'imperfecto' when you want to talk about that trip last summer? Was it 'por' or 'para' as a preposition? Depending on your interests, we start the lesson by reading a customized text or discussing a photo. That text or photo will then serve as a starting point for the conversation.

Young French expatriate in Barcelona, I have always been passionate about literature and foreign languages. I have a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Philology and despite that most of my professional experience has been in the audiovisual world, I decided to find out a new job opportunity as a Spanish teacher. So since 2017, and after obtaining the certificate for ELE (Spanish as Foreigner language), I had been doing private tutoring, and more recently I had obtained the OxfordHouse certificate for Groups Teaching Practices for Spanish teachers. I use a very innovative teaching technique focused on the improvement of communication skills. This means you will realize how language works from the first session. Grammar and other language knowledge will come with later on but the priority is that you can use the language in your day by day. I am certified with the C1 level of english and my native language is Spanish. We could have conversations in the language that you are interested in learning. Also, if you are currently having the subject at school, we can solve the exercises together to reforce the language and the understandment of it. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
