About Me

Hi, my name is Connor.

I grew up in the small city of Santa Eularia in Ibiza. As of now, I'm almost 19 years old and I'm studying at TU/e.

I grew up with my younger brother and both my parents. My Dad was born in South Africa and my Mum is Brazilian, making me quite the international.

I have always been fascinated by computers. Perhaps it came from an enthusiasm for video games, but as of today I'm proud to have developed a few Java programs and games on Unreal Engine myself.

At the moment I'm looking for a job to hopefully lift the financial burden of my parent's shoulder a bit. I give math and computer science lessons to my 7-year-old cousin regularly. It can sometimes be frustrating teaching kids so young. However, I do my best to open his mind to the abstract concepts behind all the numbers and symbols and not simply drill the times tables into his brain.

I believe that is always better to learn what things truly mean in the Platonic sense, as it grants the mental fluidity to answer a much wider variety of questions.

Last year I finished my secondary education in Spain, obtaining my Título de Bachillerato.

I graduated most of my high school years having partaken in honors courses for Math.

I am a Computer Science student at Eindhoven University of Technology.

As for my academic achievements, I have had exceptional results in the mathematical tournaments of the Balearic Islands. Competing with university coached students from all over Mallorca, I, practicing for it at home in Ibiza was able to score 10th place overall.

I am also a proficient English speaker, having scored 8 out of 9 bands in the IELTS test.
