I have academic teaching experience from the TU Eindhoven, where I graduated in architecture. I can teach you how to construct perspective, make concept sketches, but also how to overcome a creative block by working with the non-dominant (creative) part of your brain. My goal is to share my knowledge and passion for drawing while supporting you on your own creative path. I will focus on what feels natural for your growth. Individual approach is key to my method.

Everyone can learn how to draw. You can, too! It is your unique perception, that calls you to be expressed on paper. Listen to that voice. Allow yourself to take care of your creative dream! Contact me today and let's begin!
Extra information
I will ask you to prepare your own drawing materials. For start: a few pencils pencils and A3 paper will be enough.
Beginner pencil set recommendation: B2, B4, B6. You will be free to use other techniques, too: let's discuss that. Talk to you soon!

About Me
Kaya (29) graduated in architecture, and realised that her passion for drawing truly shaped her. She attended her first drawing course at the age of 13; at 19 she tutored her first drawing group back in Warsaw, where she comes from.

While studying in several European countries, Kaya worked at the university as a teaching assistant. That is when her passion for teaching formed. Despite of all her love for architecture, finding a job in an office didn't feel quite right. Following her heart, she decided to undertake a new path: combining academic and private teaching with discovering her true desire to become an artist.

The years spent on education and internships shaped her as a designer. Today, she is full of passion to share, offering her deep understanding of space in hand-drawing, (conceptual) sketching and, on the other side of the spectrum working with feelings: engaging with the visual world, working with intuition. While teaching, she is also developing her artist statement and the body of work: mostly using linocut prints to discover her visual language.

Full of optimism for the future, Kaya deeply believes in the role of developing creative skills as a way to express and create a non-verbal dialogue with oneself. "We all deserve out creative potentials; the difficult step is to claim them".

If you are reading this, it's not too late...you are in good hands:)
Especially if you 're (going to prepare/ preparing) a portfolio for art/design school application.

"Learning by making"
From drawing, oil painting to creative thinking training through materiality.
Each age is special and different visual styles can be worked upon and the outcomes can often be surprisingly authentic. Those anticipations are the basis of each class. My classes are designed through collaborations when it comes to experimentations or intersected fields and mediums, which is an option and pertinent characteristic of approach.

Classes are applicable to students who are 16+ of all levels .
Personal Portfolio Class:
If you are considering applying for art school or design school, you might want to prepare yourself and build a convincing portfolio, perhaps improve your presentation skill or even some confidence boost for interviews.
We will first explore what talents you already have and those you will want/need to have, the goal is to help you develop your creativity and curiosity as well as your artistic skills and most importantly find out your inner talent for a direction that will suit you, whether in education or self-development. And we will do a live rehearsal for your interview for the best presentation result and confidence boost. Overall, It'll help you cultivate the soft and hard skills you need to be more confident setting and resetting expectations, strengthening relationships, and taking your projects across the finish line without any cold sweat.

For teenagers: are highly encouraged to experiment with different materials and techniques and preferably through themes - selected by me or the student's likings as well. We will also look at specific Artists and Painters, as well as specific Art History periods, and the kids will then be encouraged to play around and recreate their own version of the Artist or period. Needless to say that class do not necessarily mean free-time activity, the academic material is intentionally or not(unconsciously) always a present element of my instructive performance. Therefore, the game becomes a teaching/learning relation, whilst teaching and learning turn into a recreational joyful moment for all participants.
