I am a friendly and patient guy who enjoys teaching and learning. I want to build my experience as an English teacher and provide you with lessons that are both comfortable and challenging.

I am 26 years old from New Zealand, living in Rovaniemi. I have some experience in volunteer teaching and have found it very rewarding.

For students, I will encourage you to speak, listen, read, and write. I am creative in how I deliver information and try my best to develop your understanding.

I can provide fun and relaxed guidance, or serious classes. I will always be professional, the style is up to you and how you prefer to learn.

When we enjoy the content and method of learning, we engage in the activity with all our focused attention. This is the emerging science of "flow state." Acquiring a new skill is made easier and more efficient when the activity is enjoyable. I believe teaching can be more effective by delivering lessons in ways that suit the individual, where possible.

Practice is necessary for any skill you wish to master. Together we can have conversations, do job-related learning, and improve writing and reading comprehension.

I do not speak enough Finnish to translate for the student, so it is necessary that you have at least some English listening ability.

I am naturally good with people of all ages. If you and a friend want to organize a group lesson that is also ok.

About Me

I am a fun loving and creative person. I love to learn new things and share knowledge.

I am 26 years old from New Zealand, living in Rovaniemi. I have some experience volunteer teaching and have found it very rewarding.

I have lived in Finland for one year and plan to stay much longer. Learning Finnish is difficult but not impossible, and I am enjoying the process. I appreciate the need for a language learner to hear a phrase repeated slowly until they understand.

I want to provide a place where you can make the mistakes necessary to learn what is correct. Then, the speaker is more ready to face a real world situation.

I love nature and exploring new places. I have a very curious mind and am always searching for new ideas. If I had to choose computer games or to go for a walk I would have my shoes on and be ready to go in 2 minutes.

In New Zealand I love to surf, climb mountains, and go camping. In Finland I love to ski & snowboard, look for berries and mushrooms, and find laavus in the forest.

I want to encourage you to become comfortable with the English language and improve your skills for life. I will do my best to deliver ultimate value from every lesson.
