Does your child need to progress, regain confidence, or benefit from personalized support to achieve greater success?

I offer personalized home-based academic support for students from CP to 3e, with regular monitoring adapted to the level, pace and needs of each child.

My goal is not simply to help your child finish their homework, but to teach them an effective working method, to help them understand their obstacles and to enable them to gradually become independent.

Personalized support

Each student has their own strengths, difficulties, and way of learning.

The sessions are tailored to your child's needs and may include:

* homework help
* the upgrade
* understanding of the courses
* the methodology and organization of work
* memorization techniques
* preparing for the tests
* regaining confidence in learning.

The goal is to establish good work habits and enable the student to make lasting progress.

Solid experience in teaching

I have been teaching for over 20 years to children, teenagers and adults, including 12 years specifically dedicated to academic support.

Over the years, I have supported students with very diverse profiles: students needing to regain confidence, students wishing to improve their results, or students seeking better organization in their work.

An International Chess Master since 2006, I have guided many young people in their progress. This experience has allowed me to develop a teaching method based on listening, patience, and adapting to each student.

My journey in a few figures

* 23 years of teaching experience
* 12 years of experience in academic support
* International Chess Master since 2006
* nearly 18,000 hours of teaching
* Hundreds of children and teenagers supported in their progress.

Why choose home tutoring?

Individual lessons at home offer fully personalized support:

* Your child receives undivided attention during the session
* His needs are identified more quickly
* The working methods and exercises are adapted to his level and objectives
* Parents can follow its development more closely.

Before the first lesson, I speak with the parents to understand the student's needs and to define priority objectives together.

My goal: to support your child over the long term so that they progress, regain confidence in their abilities and develop an effective working method to succeed more calmly.
Extra information
I offer personalized academic support at home for students from CP to 3rd grade.

I have been working professionally in academic support since 2014, which has allowed me to acquire a good knowledge of school curricula, learning methods and the expectations of the National Education system.

Over the years, I have supported students with very diverse profiles: students needing to catch up, students wishing to improve their results, students experiencing organizational or motivational difficulties, as well as students in a situation of dropping out of school.

My goal is not just to help the student finish their homework, but to give them an effective working method, to identify their difficulties and to enable them to make lasting progress.

My teaching approach is based on listening, patience, and adapting to each student. My background in psychology (Bachelor's degree in Psychology) also allows me to better understand learning difficulties, needs, and different learning styles.

Between 2014 and 2020, I collaborated with several recognized academic support organizations: Acadomia, Complétude, Lauréat, Matelem, Keepschool, Anacours, Les Cours Legendre, Domicours, Addoceo and Meet In Class.

In 2020, I chose to create my own company in order to develop my tutoring business and offer even more personalized support.

I have also been teaching chess since 2003. This experience with children and teenagers has allowed me to develop a teaching method based on progression, confidence and adaptation to the needs, pace and particularities of each student.

My goal: to help each child progress, regain confidence in their abilities and acquire work methods that will be useful to them in the long term.

About Me
CHESS COURSE PROFILE:

★ My father taught me to play chess at 8 years old and although he beat me all the time I loved it right away! When I started middle school, he signed me up for my local club. A few months later, I played my first tournament. I knew I wasn't strong and my only fear was finishing last. I still got 1.5/5! A year later, I signed up for the same tournament and finished 1st with 5/5!

★ I was so hungry to progress that I always wanted to face better opponents and see what I was capable of, so I worked on chess alone for almost all of my progress.

★ 12 years later, at 24, I exceeded the 2300 elo mark and became a Master of the International Chess Federation (MF).

★ At 25 years old (in 2006), after having achieved my 3 standards (3 performances >2450 elo) and exceeded 2400 elo, I became an International Master (IM).

★ Since my beginnings, I have always been passionate about chess and I wanted to transmit my passion, which is why I started giving lessons in 2003. I have had hundreds of students of all ages (from 5 to 87 years old) and of all levels (from beginner to Candidate Master) which, in more than 20 years, represents approximately 18,000 hours of lessons.

I mainly give private lessons but I have also given lessons in clubs. I have been coach of several regions (twice for the Île-de-France league, once for the Martinique League and for several Parisian clubs) for the French youth championships for 4 years. I gave several simultaneous games (about 25 players), I even had a booth for a whole weekend in a shopping center for Father's Day where I played free games against the public.

★ Competition level, I played in interclubs in all the existing divisions (from the National 5 to the Top 16) which allowed me to know both the high level and the amateur level.

I have participated in over 800 tournaments, including many international tournaments. I have won over 40 tournaments, including youth and adult tournaments, blitz, rapid, and long-game tournaments.

For connoisseurs, I have a game in Informateur 83 (book which brings together the best games of the last 6 months) for a very good game that I played at the French championship.

I even had a diagram in the chess section of the newspaper Libération for a nice combination that I made at the Paris championship.

★ In France, I am among the 200 best French players out of 76,000 licensed players.

I am very familiar with community life, having played in a club for 25 years. I am currently the Vice President of my chess club.

For the rest, I have a degree in Psychology which allows me to give practical advice to my students on how to approach the games and help them best combat their stress problems in front of the chessboard.

Since 2014, I have also been providing academic support so I am used to working with children with whom I have very good contact because I understand their ways of reasoning very well.

HOMEWORK HELP PROFILE:

I have been doing tutoring professionally since 2014, so I will be available throughout the school year.

Thanks to my experience, I know the school programs very well, which is why I am comfortable in several subjects. Because of my versatility, I am the right teacher for your out-of-school children.

My calm, my pedagogy, my psychology (license in Psychology) and my natural authority allow me to be very effective in my work.

From 2014 to 2020, I worked for all of the following organisations: Acadomia, Complétude, Lauréat, Matelem, Keepschool, Anacours, Les Cours Legendre, Domicours, Addoceo and Meet In Class.

In 2020, I decided to open my business for my tutoring activity.

I have also been giving chess lessons since 2003 so I am used to working with children with whom I have very good contact because I understand their ways of reasoning.

Every player is different.

Some are discovering chess, others wish to take their game to the next level, gain Elo points or prepare for a competition.

My work begins with an essential step: understanding your game.

I analyze your thought processes, how you select potential moves, calculate, manage your time, and make decisions. I also identify your strengths, weaknesses, and the goals you wish to achieve.

Based on this analysis, we build a training program that truly suits you.

◆ Why are some players stagnating?

Resources for improvement have never been so plentiful: videos, gaming platforms, tactical exercises, databases, analysis engines...

However, having access to more information does not always mean making better progress.

Watching videos can be instructive, but it often remains a passive activity: understanding an explanation is very different from being able to find the right idea yourself in front of the chessboard.

Many players prefer fast paces, whereas taking more time to think during games is often essential for improvement.

After the game, they check their accuracy rate, browse the variants offered by the engine and identify their mistakes... without always understanding why they made them.

An engine can tell you the best move, but it doesn't teach you how to find it yourself.

That's the whole difference between knowing the answer and learning how to think.

To make lasting progress, you need to go beyond simply acknowledging the mistake: understand why it happened and what needs to change in your way of thinking.

This is precisely where the personalized support of a coach becomes truly meaningful.

◆ A method built around your game

The first sessions are mainly devoted to analyzing your games.

I'm not just looking for shots that could have been better. I'm trying to understand what led you to play them.

What did you see in the position? What did you consider? What did you rule out?

This analysis helps to identify recurring patterns in your game and to establish precise priorities.

We then build your training program based on your level, your goals and the time you can dedicate to chess.

Depending on your needs, we will work in particular on:

● Openings and game plans
● Tactics and calculation methods
● Positional strategy and understanding
● Essential Finals
● In-depth analysis of your games
● Competition preparation
● Time management, self-confidence and mental preparation

I always prioritize understanding over rote learning.

My goal is not simply to show you what to play, but to pass on the methods that will gradually allow you to find the right ideas on your own.

I support beginners who want to acquire a good foundation, as well as club players, competitors and online players of all levels.

◆ Concrete results

Here are some recent results obtained by my students:

➤ 800 → 1600 Elo on Chess.com after a year and a half of lessons for an adult player.

➤ 1650 → 2000 Elo FIDE after about fifteen hours of lessons for a 16-year-old student.

➤ First FIDE Elo above 1950 after a year of work for a previously unrated student.

➤ 1600 → 2000 FIDE Elo in two years for a young player who became Champion of Paris in his category.

➤ 1600 → 2380 Elo on Chess.com in 15-minute games after a year of lessons at a rate of 3 hours per week for an adult player.

These results naturally depend on the starting level, regularity and investment of each student.

Their testimonials will give you an idea of the progress made and the atmosphere in which the sessions take place.

◆ Children's classes

My approach is tailored to their age, level, and ability to concentrate.

The joy of playing and the desire to learn remain essential. Through exercises and educational games, they gradually learn to think better, anticipate, and make their own decisions at the chessboard.

◆ Videoconference classes

Video conferencing is particularly well-suited to teaching chess.

Thanks to screen sharing, we can analyze your games, study positions together, work on your openings, compare different ideas and perform exercises in real time.

After each session, I will send you the materials used so that you can review the concepts studied and continue your work between classes.

◆ Your chess project

Send me a message briefly describing your level, experience, and goals.

Contacting me is already taking the first step towards your progress.

Do you want to improve your skills? Are you looking for effective help with your homework or your children's? Do you want to work in a calm, focused environment with specific goals? You've come to the right place! My name is Anna, and I'm a Political Science student at the University of Rouen. Passionate about teaching and education, I offer personalized tutoring for students from elementary school (CP) to middle school (3ème), primarily in French and History-Geography. For high school students, I also offer methodology courses for subjects like History, Geography, Geopolitics, and Political Science (HGGSP) and oral exam preparation.
To make your daily life easier, I also offer occasional babysitting services for children from 5 years old (ideal for combining end-of-day care and learning).

To guarantee a breakthrough and consistent progress, each session is structured in a fluid manner:

Step 1: Understanding - We review the lesson together to ensure that the basics and essential concepts are fully understood.
Step 2: Apply – The lesson is broken down through concrete examples and guided application exercises. Step 3: Develop independence – The student completes exercises independently, followed by an interactive peer review to understand any errors.

Because we learn best when we feel confident, I am committed to providing a calm, studious, relaxed, and supportive environment. No stress, no judgment: we progress together, at the student's pace, to boost their grades and self-confidence!
