Welcome to my page. I am David Paradi, I am a trombone player from Hungary based in the Netherlands. I obtained my Master degree in Trombone Performance at Codarts University of Arts in Rotterdam. Currently, I am living in the Netherlands collaborating with different kind of freelancer based projects, as well as teaching.

About Me

Dávid is a Hungarian tenor trombone player based in the Netherlands. He obtained his
Master of Music degree in Classical Trombone performance at Codarts University of
the Arts, Rotterdam in 2019, under the tutelage of Alexander Verbeek and Brandt
Attema.

He has always been an active performer throughout Europe. He has performed with
Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest as an academist trombone player during the
season 2018-2019. He performed at the Slide Factory trombone festival in 2019 with
the Codarts Trombone Ensemble. During his bachelor studies in Hungary, he joined
the Moscow Ballet Theatre Orchestra and had a one-month tour in the United Kingdom
in 2018. He was also an additional trombone player at Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra and had a tour in China for one month in 2017. In the same year, he had tour performances with St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre Orchestra in France. In addition, he collaborated with Budapest Operetta Theatre in Italy in 2016 on a concert tour.

Currently, he is performing with several orchestras in the Netherlands, such as Nationaal Symfonisch Kamerorkest, Laurens Orkest, Holland Symfonie Orkest, RBO Sinfonia, Brabant Sinfonia and Het Promenade Orkest.

Besides active performing, he also won several competitions, such as 2nd Prize from International Brass and Percussion Competition in Debrecen; Special Jury Prize and 3rd Prize from the Corpus Trombone Quartet
Competition in Budapest.

Experience / Qualifications

Teaching Classical Trombone

As a mentor, Dávid has been involving in Classical music education for several years, beginning by giving
trombone workshop at his hometown Tiszafüred and later on coaching secondary students during his Bachelor
studies at University of Debrecen Faculty of Music. He was invited as a guest teacher to Hong Kong for giving workshops and coaching brass sections in HKUGA College and Pui Ching Middle School.
Since age 10, he played in the local Wind band in Tiszafüred as a trombonist and euphonium player for 9 years.
Therefore, he has a thorough knowledge in different kinds of brass instruments methodology which he could give
effective advices for developing any level of brass playing.

Teaching in Jazz, Folk, Brass band and Pop Styles

Apart from classical music, Dávid has also experience in different genres playing, including jazz, folk, brass band and pop.

Jazz: During his studies in Bachelor, he was part of Debrecen Big Band as a lead trombonist. The Big Band has been collaborating with famous jazz artists performing jazz, blues, funk, pop and fusion. With this knowledge, he can distinguish different kinds of playing techniques of particular styles.

Folk: Furthermore, he was a tenor-horn player in a folk band based in Miskolc, Hungary, which was his first experience in folk music playing in brass instruments. During his Master studies, he wrote his artistic research about the Hungarian folk-derived elements in contemporary music.

Pop: His interest in pop music was first inspired while playing in Debrecen Big Band that mentioned above.
Moreover, he was taking Creative Producing as Minor subject at the pop department in Codarts Rotterdam, thus he has knowledge about how to shape sounds including pop elements with different kinds of Digital Audio Workstations.

Brass band: From 2023 he is in collaboration with SKVR in Rotterdam as a trombone teacher for the brass band department. This all-art institution working together with freelancer artists, providing classes according to interest
in diverse areas of art from poetry to music and dance.
With the brass band school he travelled to the Antilles (Aruba and Curacao) for leading classes as well as performing throughout the islands.

I am a professional trumpet player who graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague in Classical (Bachelor's) and Early music (Master's), and I can teach all levels, regardless of type of music.

Special focus on developing a vocal approach to the trumpet, as well as grounding the body in the feeling of rhythm and "opening" the ears.

I am a professional musician from Sydney and have a Bachelor of Music Performance (Jazz) from the Sydney University.
Over 10 years of experience teaching and over 20 years playing the trumpet. My playing experience covers all styles and includes numerous performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, small jazz ensembles, NDR Bigband, rock band Caravãna Sun, Tim Minchin and session work including Dancing with the Stars and The Voice in Australia.

I started my musical path playing Euphonium and my very first period, and I always wanted to be able to play all the brass instruments. I play Trumpet in some projects of mine here in Holland, for Jazz and Pop bands, and I’m studying Trumpet in a musical way to be professional in stage with it.

My classical studies gave me a good knowledge about the “Brass Technique”, mainly for Trombone, Trumpet and Tuba. I can teach you how to make sound in the proper way to don’t have any problems in the future, and we can find out together what you need to reach the level you desire.

I can let you try the Trumpet in your lesson, but I do not have the other instrument, in the case of Euphonium, Flugelhorn, Horn and Tuba, you must bring your own instrument from the beginning.

In this course we will take car about the quality of the sound, the way you make sound, general techniques and develop of musicality. We will always touch some things such Ear Training, Singing, Breathing, our goal is to reach an healthy way to play, developing all the musical skills you need.

Hello all!
My name is Yiannis , I'm a third generation trombone player and I've been playing the trombone since 9 years of age.
In 2017 I got my Trombone Diploma in Greece and since 2018 I have been studying Classical trombone at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I graduated from with a Bachelor's degree.
I've had teaching experience from Greece and here alongside my bachelor's degree i acquired followed the minor in education.
Teaching is really a very beautiful and enjoyable process from which both teacher and student learn a lot!
I'm very passionate about music, and I'm able to teach you both classical trombone or pop if that's your cup of tea!

Also, I have experience with different orchestras in Spain and The Netherlands and with different jazz groups.

For young beginner, the lesson will focus on inducing interest of playing the instrument through games and sounds that they interested in. Apart from instrumental basic techniques, basic musical theory will also be another main focus for the lesson.

For intermediate students, half of the lesson will focus on strengthen the basic technique and enhance the musicianship.

For Advanced students, the lesson will focus on refining the the advance technique and musical ideas.

*Practicing recording will be given for students to have a clear idea for practicing. Students can always send recordings for feed back beside the lesson time.

Trumpet Lessons The Hague - Delft
Music is an important part of anyone’s life at any stage, which is why I believe teaching an instrument should be made available to all ages. Whether you have a young child who has developed an interest in the trumpet, or you are a working professional who just fancies a new hobby, or anyone in-between, I will develop lesson plans tailor made to you. Learn to improvise, develop your creativity or even play classical concerto’s!

Classical - Jazz - Pop
From the age of 7, I trained as a classical trumpet player, and then developed an interest in jazz at 13. I have a Bachelors in Classical music from London, and a Jazz Bachelors and Masters from the Netherlands. You can therefore feel confident that no matter what your interest may be (perhaps you don’t even know yourself yet), I can give you high quality training in your own interests.

What to expect- Beginners
For beginners, I take the time to let you get acquainted with the trumpet, learning repertoire, simple theory and technique, gradually moving to more advanced studies and incorporating jazz into the equation.

Jazz Basics
My jazz lessons start with the basics - learning simple music theory and harmony, the appropriate scales and getting a taste for the jazz language, common repertoire and the tradition.

Challenge
As you advance, we will explore more challenging rhythm, harmony and melody. Learning musical transcription (the process of writing down sounds on to paper) is crucial for development and also covered in lessons as well as mental-practise. For trumpet players the true key to success. Of course, my lessons are always friendly, relaxed and personal!

Intermediate - Advanced
My lessons consist of trumpet technique, i.e gaining the facility to be able to meet the demands of professional trumpet playing and the knowledge to deal with the daily struggles of what is essentially a very a demanding instrument.

Breathing Embouchure
This of course includes breathing, posture, embouchure, articulation, long tones, sound production, flexibility, finger dexterity, endurance, scales/arpeggios, sight-reading and ear training. It is important to develop everyday fundamental routines: keeping in shape, as well as devising formalised structures within trumpet practise. The often heard phrase goes - it's not how long you practise but how and what - which is incredibly relevant to trumpet players.

Flexible and able to travel
I live in the Hague and teach from my apartment, but am happy to travel to another location if it’s convenient!
Home lessons in Delft may be arranged.

When starting out, choosing what trumpet to buy can be confusing and sometimes stressful! I am happy to give advice and accompany you to a music shop, to ensure the choice you make is right for you.

About Laurie
Born and raised in the colourful and vibrant seaside city of Brighton (UK), Laurie began playing the trumpet aged 7 and grew up playing in the local Brighton and London music scene. He studied classical music at Royal Holloway University of London where he graduated with honours and won the Dame Felicity Lott award for performance in 2014. Since then he has resided in the Netherlands playing and studying with many musicians from the Dutch and European jazz scene. In 2016 he graduated from Codarts Conservatory Cum Laude having studied formally under the Dutch jazz-master Jarmo Hoogendijk amongst others.

In 2018 he graduated with a master’s degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam receiving the highest mark ever to be given by the department. As a band-leader his quartet received 3rd place at the Leiden Jazz Competition in 2016 and in the same year made an appearance at North Sea Jazz Festival. In 2018, his quintet was selected as finalists of both the Keep-an-Eye Jazz Awards and the prestigious Dutch Jazz Competition. To date he has made numerous appearances at jazz venues and festivals in and around the Netherlands and currently resides in The Hague (NL) teaching students, giving performances and making music with friends.

Welcome! My name is Caleb and I look forward to working together in lessons online or at your home around The Hague!

My teaching is customized to support each student's musical goals. Prior to moving to The Hague, I spent five years teaching group and private lessons for a variety of arts education organizations in Philadelphia (USA). In each space, I create safe and fun learning environments for students by maintaining a consistently supportive demeanor and by using positive reinforcement to encourage student behavior and growth. I’m patient, and empathetic, and maintain a firm belief in all students’ capacity for improvement and success.

In the lessons, we will focus on creating a beautiful, efficient, and flexible sound through various exercises and musical pieces. I will facilitate exploration that leads students to learn about effective learning habits and to be able to self-identify what they can do to improve. This helps students become their own teachers – an essential skill for improving in music, and also relevant in many other areas in life.

A bit about me:
Originally from Indiana (USA), I have performed professionally with the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico, with organist Clara Gerdes at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, and with members of the American Brass Quintet at the Aspen Music Festival. As a baroque trumpeter, I have performed with The Sebastians, the Philadelphia Bach Collegium, with members of the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, and with the Jeune Orchestre de l’Abbaye and Philippe Herreweghe at the Festival de Saintes. While attending Curtis Institute of Music, my colleagues and I won first prize at the National Trumpet Competition (USA) in the trumpet ensemble division.

As a passionate advocate for music education and arts access, I served as an ArtistYear fellow, teaching sixty-five recorder students at Powel Elementary School in Philadelphia during the 2016-17 school year. I have also served as a teaching artist for Jazz Aspen Snowmass and Philadelphia’s Play on Philly.

As a founding member of The Brass Project from 2016-2018, I premiered over thirty new works written for the ensemble. During this time The Brass Project was featured by Santa Fe Pro Musica, at National Sawdust, and at Music from Angel Fire. Our debut album, “Cityscaping,” was released in December 2018.

I recently graduated with a master’s degree in baroque trumpet at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. I earned an Artist Diploma at the Curtis Institute of Music, and a bachelor’s degree at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

My name is Miguel Valles and I am a trumpet player and music educator based in Den Haag with a Master’s degree in Classical and Contemporary Music from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya) in Barcelona.

As a performer, I have collaborated with several prominent orchestras such as Het Balletorkest, , Residentie Orkest , NJO Orkest , NASKA . Alongside my performance experience, I have developed a strong passion for teaching. I have worked as a trumpet teacher at Hamelin-Laie International School, Gras i Soler School, and Esplugues del Llobregat Music School in Barcelona, where I taught students of different ages and skill levels.

I am fluent in both English and spanish, and I am currently studying Dutch. My teaching approach is focused on developing both technical skills and musical expression in an engaging and student-centered environment.
