Welcome to my page. I am David Paradi, I am a trombone player from Hungary based in the Netherlands. I obtained my Master degree in Trombone Performance at Codarts University of Arts in Rotterdam. Currently, I am living in the Netherlands collaborating with different kind of freelancer based projects, as well as teaching.

About Me
Dávid is a Hungarian tenor trombone player based in the Netherlands. He obtained his
Master of Music degree in Classical Trombone performance at Codarts University of
the Arts, Rotterdam in 2019, under the tutelage of Alexander Verbeek and Brandt
Attema.
He has always been an active performer throughout Europe. He has performed with
Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest as an academist trombone player during the
season 2018-2019. He performed at the Slide Factory trombone festival in 2019 with
the Codarts Trombone Ensemble. During his bachelor studies in Hungary, he joined
the Moscow Ballet Theatre Orchestra and had a one-month tour in the United Kingdom
in 2018. He was also an additional trombone player at Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra and had a tour in China for one month in 2017. In the same year, he had tour performances with St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre Orchestra in France. In addition, he collaborated with Budapest Operetta Theatre in Italy in 2016 on a concert tour.
Currently, he is performing with several orchestras in the Netherlands, such as Nationaal Symfonisch Kamerorkest, Laurens Orkest, Holland Symfonie Orkest, RBO Sinfonia, Brabant Sinfonia and Het Promenade Orkest.
Besides active performing, he also won several competitions, such as 2nd Prize from International Brass and Percussion Competition in Debrecen; Special Jury Prize and 3rd Prize from the Corpus Trombone Quartet
Competition in Budapest.

Experience / Qualifications
Teaching Classical Trombone
As a mentor, Dávid has been involving in Classical music education for several years, beginning by giving
trombone workshop at his hometown Tiszafüred and later on coaching secondary students during his Bachelor
studies at University of Debrecen Faculty of Music. He was invited as a guest teacher to Hong Kong for giving workshops and coaching brass sections in HKUGA College and Pui Ching Middle School.
Since age 10, he played in the local Wind band in Tiszafüred as a trombonist and euphonium player for 9 years.
Therefore, he has a thorough knowledge in different kinds of brass instruments methodology which he could give
effective advices for developing any level of brass playing.
Teaching in Jazz, Folk, Brass band and Pop Styles
Apart from classical music, Dávid has also experience in different genres playing, including jazz, folk, brass band and pop.
Jazz: During his studies in Bachelor, he was part of Debrecen Big Band as a lead trombonist. The Big Band has been collaborating with famous jazz artists performing jazz, blues, funk, pop and fusion. With this knowledge, he can distinguish different kinds of playing techniques of particular styles.
Folk: Furthermore, he was a tenor-horn player in a folk band based in Miskolc, Hungary, which was his first experience in folk music playing in brass instruments. During his Master studies, he wrote his artistic research about the Hungarian folk-derived elements in contemporary music.
Pop: His interest in pop music was first inspired while playing in Debrecen Big Band that mentioned above.
Moreover, he was taking Creative Producing as Minor subject at the pop department in Codarts Rotterdam, thus he has knowledge about how to shape sounds including pop elements with different kinds of Digital Audio Workstations.
Brass band: From 2023 he is in collaboration with SKVR in Rotterdam as a trombone teacher for the brass band department. This all-art institution working together with freelancer artists, providing classes according to interest
in diverse areas of art from poetry to music and dance.
With the brass band school he travelled to the Antilles (Aruba and Curacao) for leading classes as well as performing throughout the islands.
