My name is Kontaros (Kiki). I am an experienced teacher and dedicated to teaching. Since I completed my PhD from the UK, I have had opportunities to experience different aspects of the teaching-learning processes which I always take into account how they are related to effective and efficient classroom learning and student outcomes.

I provide Thai language and English lessons for non-native students and adults. I also teach Geography in simple ways to understand easily. Classes are tailor-made in order to suit your preferences. Courses are for anyone who wants to learn Thai and English, as an absolute beginner or to improve your current skills, also for exams, grammar or conversation. Learning Geography is what you have your own mental maps and connect with the real world.

Some examples of Thai language lessons are (not limited to):
- Basic Thai Conversation for Travellers starts
- Purposively arranged Conversation in Thai for absolute beginners e.g. for family gatherings, relationships and survival Thai
- Reading and Writing Thai

Learning Geography:
- From all basic concepts towards specific subjects in Geography
- Connect your mental maps with the real world so that you become more knowledgable and realistic

*** Kindly note that homework will be assigned after every lesson to assist students in positive progress. It is recommended to spend 2-4 hours per week for your self-study.

About Me

Teaching and tutoring in higher education for several years and now offering tailor-made
language courses which can be adjusted to make them fit for one's preference(s) e.g. grammar, vocabulary and conversation.
I also teach Geography for a purpose of tutoring. I like teaching since it challenges me to help others to understand and that we can discuss further details in which they are interested. Most of all, these make me happy sharing knowledge with students. The progress the students make is what I would really like to see.
I believe that everyone is never too late to learn, just do your best and make the most of it.

Experience / Qualifications

Previously, I was a university lecturer for a few years and had taught Master and Bachelor students. I have various experiences in adult teaching, public speaking and relevant research with international organisations and highly diverse cultural communities.

Currently, I am a Thai language instructor at language institutes in Rotterdam and the Hague, the Netherlands. I am also a volunteer teacher for a Thai language course at a Buddhism temple.
I am a native Thai and speak English at C2 level. My Dutch level is B2- C1 level. Learning languages means learning the cultures as well.
