In class, we learn musical notation, practice sight-reading, do ear training and enjoy spending time in the world of music.
I have been working as a composer for many years, so I value the freedom of self-expression and I help my students compose their own pieces of music.

Accurately perform major and minor scales (one octave, separate hands, ascending an descending).

I have a B.M. in Piano Performance with honors and I have taught piano to students of all ages for 7 years. With all this experience, I know how important it is to incorporate music theory, music history, artistry, and performance in my lessons. I help my students become strong musicians as well as pianists while also making sure that classes are fun and rewarding. In my classes I focus on how to read sheet music and classical music however, I want to make sure that I am open to helping my students in all areas they are interested in so please let me know what your goals are!
