Hi there! My name is Giulia, I’m 25 and I’m from Italy. I recently moved to Reykjavík for a two-year Master’s in Linguistic Mediation, Tourism, and Cultures. I speak several languages besides Italian – English, Spanish, French, basic Chinese – and I’m currently learning Icelandic (though I’m still a beginner!).

I’m offering Italian lessons for anyone who wants to learn the language in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. My goal is not to be a strict teacher or put pressure on you – instead, I want to make learning fun and interactive.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in the province of Modena, in northern Italy, but I love traveling. I play the flute, enjoy dancing hip hop, and I’m a very active person. I love nature and animals, and I’m quite a chatterbox, so our lessons will definitely be lively and full of conversation!

Education

I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Verona. During my studies, I spent a year on Erasmus at the University of Leeds in England. After that, I moved to Trento for my Master’s in Linguistic Mediation, Tourism, and Cultures, and now I’m completing the final year of my Master’s in Reykjavík.

Experience / Qualifications

I have a C1 level in English and French, and I have experience teaching Italian, English, and French. I have been giving lessons both online and in-person for some time, creating a friendly and supportive environment for my students to learn and enjoy the process.

Lessons in Italian language and culture for people with various levels of proficency.
Depending on each student, I am going to build a specific plan of study adapted to the person's level, pace, and priority to learn the language.
All ages are welcome.

My courses are aimed at all school and university students who need help, motivation and support from a dynamic and motivated native speaker, whether it's is grammar, listening, reading or speaking.

The methodology is very flexible, having studied several foreign languages myself throughout my studies and my experiences abroad (which have led me to speak five languages).

The classes will be adjusted to the needs and interests of the student, their language level and communicative purposes.
We can focus on any of the aforementioned areas (communicative uses of language, conversational practice, grammatical precision, writing) or in general, the development of the four communicative skills: listening, reading, oral expression and writing...
In addition, I have experience in teaching Spanish with Specific Purposes (medicine, art, etc.), working with vocabulary, common expressions and structures, etc.

As a native Greek speaker with a deep passion for language and literature, I bring a unique perspective to teaching Greek as a foreign language. My journey into language education began as a student of Italian Language and Literature at The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I honed my skills in linguistic analysis and cross-cultural communication.

With a strong foundation in my mother tongue, I embarked on the path of teaching Greek to speakers of other languages. Drawing from my own experiences as a language learner, I understand the challenges and joys that come with mastering a new language.
