About Me
I love music! I love sharing my talent with others, and most of all, I've found that I am very passionate about teaching others to enjoy music too! When I took lessons in the past, I was always excited and enthusiastic to learn and improve. My goal is to make my lessons just as fun and exciting for you!
Education
I am a sophomore at Brigham Young University–Idaho, majoring in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. I have completed two college-level music theory courses and have ten years of piano training prior to college. My background in both voice and piano has given me a strong foundation in musicianship, technique, and music literacy.
Experience / Qualifications
I am currently a self-employed piano and voice teacher in Rexburg, Idaho, where I work with both piano and vocal students. Through this experience, I am developing my skills in lesson planning, individualized instruction, and providing constructive feedback, while continuing to strengthen my own musical abilities. In addition to my private teaching, I serve as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Music and the Western Civilization course at Brigham Young University–Idaho, where I grade concert reviews and musical essays.
