Course Overview
This comprehensive course is designed for high school students preparing for their final Baccalaureate examinations in Biology and Earth Sciences (SVT), as well as students enrolled in international or English-immersion science programs. Grounded in the official curriculum, this course delivers a deep understanding of key biological and geological concepts while developing rigorous scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Through structured readings, guided document analysis, and exam-oriented practice, students will master the methodology required to excel in written tests and competitive entrance exams.
Key Learning Modules
Cellular Energy & Metabolism
Organic matter consumption and ATP production (cellular respiration and fermentation).
Structural and functional mechanisms of muscle contraction.
Genetics & Molecular Biology
Expression of genetic information, DNA replication, and protein synthesis.
Inheritance patterns (Mendelian genetics, monohybridism, dihybridism, and human pedigree analysis).
Fundamentals of genetic engineering and population genetics.
Immunology & Human Health
Non-specific and specific immune responses (humoral and cell-mediated immunity).
Dysfunctions of the immune system (HIV/AIDS, allergies) and medical applications (vaccination, immunotherapy).
Geodynamics & Earth Sciences
Plate tectonics, lithospheric deformation, and mountain building processes (orogenesis).
Magmatism and metamorphism associated with tectonic plate boundaries.
Scientific Methodology & Exam Strategy
Methods for analyzing scientific graphs, experiments, and complex documents.
Structuring logical written arguments and syntheses.
Practice with authentic past exam papers and time-management techniques.
Who Is This Course For?
High School Students (Final Year / 2nd Year Bac) preparing for national or international SVT examinations.
International & BIOF Students seeking high-level science instruction delivered in English.
Pre-Med & Science Candidates looking for a solid foundation before entering competitive medical, pharmaceutical, or agronomy entrance exams.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will thoroughly understand core SVT concepts, master document analysis, and confidently write clear, high-scoring exam responses.

SVT, or Science of Life and Earth (biology and geology), is a very specific scientific subject. It requires students to have both good scientific fundamentals (logic, rigour, depth of analysis), and an understanding of phenomena affecting the Earth, the human body and the planet. But it also requires an ability to reuse all of this within a well-written development, so a certain ease in argumentation!
Our home lessons allow support adapted to the student's objectives:
face comprehension difficulties,
improve the application of knowledge in exercises and homework,
gain in efficiency thanks to the ad hoc methodology.
The student may encounter difficulties in understanding or applying the course from middle school. Nevertheless, in high school, the pace quickens and the requirements increase, especially with the SVT specialty in first class.
