Learn Spanish Your Way

The core of my lessons is enjoying the process while actually learning. I combine a solid academic foundation with a flexible, creative approach so classes feel real, practical and engaging. I mainly work with the communicative method (supported by textbooks like Aula Internacional), while adapting topics, pace and activities to each student's interests and goals.

From day one, we focus on real conversation, mostly in Spanish (your native language is not a barrier, but English and German can be supportive). Topics can be anything you enjoy, so lessons are always meaningful and motivating.

Qualifications & Experience

I hold a BA in Modern Languages and Literature, an MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and I am a certified C1–C2 DELE examiner by Instituto Cervantes. I also have some familiarity with Portuguese, Italian, Russian and French, which helps cover linguistic interferences and provide extra support when needed.

Since 2019, I have taught onsite and online, in academies and private settings, both one-to-one and in groups. My experience includes general Spanish, Spanish for Business, writing, conversation, and long-term bilingual immersion projects with children.

Lessons & Structure

Lessons usually last from 1 hour up to 4 hours for intensive courses, but we can design monthly or weekly plans together. You can take individual lessons or join a small group. Everything is personalized: pace, topics, materials, and activities.

We focus on what motivates you and what you want to learn.

Students & Inclusivity

I work with all ages: bilingual immersion for babies and children, tutoring and homework support for teenagers and university students, and personalized courses for adults and seniors (especially those preparing to move abroad or seeking meaningful learning).

Having experienced learning difficulties myself, I can quickly identify student needs and adapt lessons accordingly.

My classes are a safe, respectful and inclusive space where neurodivergence, different backgrounds and learning styles are welcome.

I offer adaptive and inclusive language (grammatically correct) and always encourage students to express what they need.

About Me
Hello! My name is Claudia and I come from a very multicultural Spanish town called Ceuta, located in the north of Africa (yes, Africa... and yes, it's Spanish!).

Growing up surrounded by different cultures sparked my love for languages, food, art and human connections.

I decided to study Spanish as a foreign language so I could teach and travel all over the world. I find teaching very inspiring because I learn so much from every student and every lesson, and honestly, it's usually so interesting, fun and exciting to see the growth that often beautiful friendships come out from the lessons!

I am currently living in Aotearoa / New Zealand on a working holiday visa. I am living in a van while traveling the country.

Before moving here, I spent seven years based in Berlin, but I've lived in Morocco, Russia, Czech Republic, USA, Australia, UK and different cities in Spain, and I've traveled in more than 30 countries. I love immersing myself in local cultures and connecting with people wherever I go. I try to do it in the most respectful and sustainable way I can.

Besides being a Spanish teacher, I'm a videographer and photographer. My dream is to be a filmmaker!!

Also, I am now learning about horses and working as a bareback horse riding trekking guide.

My passions include art, music, nature, animals and sustainability. I also enjoy handicrafts, restoring furniture, going on adventures and learning new skills. I hope to bring all of this curiosity, creativity and energy into my teaching and that your stories inspire me to write scripts and make movies or documentaries!

Experience / Qualifications
My work is divided between private personalized lessons and teaching in
academies, both in group and individual formats, online and in person. I have
also delivered specialized courses such as Spanish for Business, writing and
conversation.
I
follow a communicative approach grounded in structured materials and
textbooks, while adapting dynamically to each student's needs and interests.
Classes are conducted mainly in Spanish from day one, even at beginner level
when appropriate. Respect, integration and enjoyment form the core of my
classroom environment, always supported by solid grammatical foundations. Yo
introduce valid linguistic options that respond to contemporary discussions on
i nclusive, neutral and positive language, and I expose students to the diversity
of Spanish varieties worldwide.
Alongside this, I developed a long-term experimental early childhood Spanish
German immersion project. We began when the child was 1.5 years old in a fully
German-speaking household. Through gamification, role play and everyday
i immersive experiences beyond the classroom, we built consistent linguistics and
cultural exposure. His younger brother naturally joined the process from birth.
The project was documented over several years, contributing to my
understanding of bilingual development and immersion pedagogy.
I would be very pleased to contribute my experience and commitment to your
academic team
