I also teach them some culture in order to understand the language better. I have been teaching IGCSE French and Portuguese as well as A Levels and IB.I believe in organic teaching and in including the language in real life. My students come from a multicultural background and are used to be open minded. I teach them to be citizens of the world, therefore it is very important to learn a foreign language, in order to feel at ease wherever they go.

I am teaching Portuguese based on dialogues, written exercises, reading and homework after each class. My goal is to convey a natural language understanding and target individual soft-spots of students, regardless of beginner, advanced student or the support of school lessons. Depending on the individual language skills and preferences of the student the class can be given completely in Portuguese or partly in English.

I have advised students and helped them achieve their goals, e.g., going abroad for their studies, helped them through steps of applications, publications, and so on. I have also supervised a Master's student working on his thesis at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). I believe it is time that I expand my circle and reach out to help other people as well.
